Řeka Bečva pramení v Beskydech. Vlastně tam pramení dvě Bečvy - Rožnovská a Vsetínská, které se ve Valašském Meziříčí slévají do jedné.
Z Beskyd pokračuje Bečva na Hanou, kde má podobnou povahu jako Hanáci: pomalou a rozšafnou.
Koryto Bečvy je místy docela nestálé. V nížině mezi Hranicemi a Přerovem snadno meandruje. To znamená, že tvoří zákruty, které na jedné straně podemílají břehy a na straně druhé se z nánosů tvoří pláže.
Fotky jsou z míst mezi Osekem nad Bečvou a Grymovem. Řeka je tady v některých místech schopná "uhnout" až o několik metrů za rok. A je jí jedno, jestli zruší část cyklostezky nebo stožár trasy vysokého napětí. Na druhou stranu, dramaticky podemleté břehy na jedné straně a oblázkové pláže vybízející k relaxaci na straně druhé vytvářejí svým kontrastem kouzelné prostředí.
Kromě toho, toto místo není prakticky dosažitelné autem - nejlépe se sem dostanete na kole. I to přispívá k tomu, že je tu klid i od lidí.

On the other hand, dramatic shores on the one hand and pebble beaches inviting you to relax on the other create a magical environment with their contrast.
In addition, this place is not practically accessible by car - the best way to get here is by bike. This also contributes to the peace and quiet of the people.
Ještě chci připomenout,že tuto nádhernou řeku loni na podzim otrávila chemická továrna, v úseku začínajícím u společnosti DEZA (která patří do koncernu Agrofert), až po soutok s Moravou.
Je to tři čtvrtě roku a zločin stále není vyšetřený. Proč asi? Qui bono?
