Apron made of waste material and sewn entirely by hand.

Hello dear friends of NeedleWorkMonday , I want to share with you an apron that I made with a sheet fabric and from which came out completely my apron and which I sewed by hand.

Materials

  • Thread
  • Needle
  • Savannah fabric
  • Tapes of fabric obtained of the savannah
  • Scissors

Step by step

First

I used a sheet fabric, from which I obtained a piece of 78 centimeters x 65 centimeters for the body of my apron, I also cut at once two stripes of the fabric because I wanted to make a striped apron, I selected a purple stripe and a yellow stripe, I selected a purple stripe and a yellow stripe. stripes, I selected a strip of purple color and another of yellow color.

Second

Then I took the purple stripe fabric, ironed it making a fold, which will serve as a guide to obtain a 2 meter ribbon. I proceeded to sew by hand the whole ribbon.

Third

Next I took the yellow stripe, and performed exactly the same procedure as above and obtained a two-meter ribbon.

Fourth

I took the piece of fabric destined for the body of the apron and ironed it on the four ends making a fold and proceeded to sew by hand.Make three folds to the body of the apron.

Fifth

To sew the waistband, fold the apron in half and on top of it, fold the yellow tape, to take the exact measurement, I proceeded to sew from the middle to one end, and then I sewed from the middle to the other end.

Sixth

For the faralao I took the purple ribbon and with the water I made a simple seam just to join the fabric with the thread, then I was giving forms of folds to obtain the desired length to place at the bottom of my apron, then with the help of the iron I marked the folds.

Seventh

I sewed my folded ribbon to the bottom of the apron. Then I cut out a fabric heart to make a small ornament, and gave it a few stitches to demarcate and proceeded to fix it with thread and needle.

Finally I ironed my apron and here my result.
