Hoy quiero compartirles como fue mi proceso transformando una vieja camisa que ya no usaba en un lindo vestido para mi bebé, me gustaba mucho la tela así por que no darle vida y uso. Espero que sea de su agrado y puedas aprender algo nuevo, yo también espero nutrirme en esta comunidad, así que empecemos.

Today I want to share with you how was my process transforming an old shirt that I no longer used in a nice dress for my baby, I really liked the fabric so why not give it life and use. I hope you like it and you can learn something new, I also hope to nourish myself in this community, so let's get started.

Corte de mi camisa un rectángulo que tiene 50cm de ancho y 35cm de alto, de los sobrantes de tela saque mis tiros que tienen 6cm de ancho por 15cm la largo. Para coser los tiro lo que hice fue enfrentar derecho con derecho y pasar una costura sencilla por mi abertura, luego con la ayuda de un palillo lo voltee y listo, para la base de nuestro vestido que ya esta cosido a los lados, lo que hice fue pegarle elástica de un centímetro, por todo el borde superior con un costura en zic-zac.

I cut from my shirt a rectangle that is 50cm wide and 35cm high, from the leftover fabric I took my strips that are 6cm wide by 15cm long. To sew the strips what I did was to face right to right and pass a simple seam through my opening, then with the help of a toothpick I turned it over and ready, for the base of our dress that is already sewn on the sides, what I did was to glue elastic of one centimeter, along the top edge with a zic-zac seam.

Luego de coser toda mi elástica que tiene unos 25cm de largo, di un doblez mas hacia adentro esto para que no se vea la elástica, y para terminar nuestra parte superior di un ultimo doblez esta vez de 2,5cm para que nos quede un borde abombado y lindo.

After sewing all my elastic which is about 25cm long, I gave a fold more inward so that the elastic is not visible, and to finish our top I gave a last fold this time of 2.5cm so that we have a nice curved edge.

A los tiros le pase una costura sencilla a cada lado, esto es opcional también solo puedes simplemente plancharlo y listo. Cosí mis tiros a 8cm de la costura de mis lados y en la parte trasera los junte un poco mas. Para terminar hice unos lazitos con mis sobrantes de tela y los cosí justo debajo de los tiros esto solo en la parte delantera.

I sewed a single seam on each side of the straps, this is optional too, you can just iron it and that's it. I sewed my straps 8cm from the seam on my sides and on the back I joined them a little more. To finish I made a few little bows with my leftover fabric and sewed them just below the straps, this is only on the front side.

Y así quedaría nuestro hermosa vestido, una manera sencilla de darle vida a prendas que no usamos. Me siento orgullosa del resultado final.

And this is how our beautiful dress would look like, a simple way to give life to clothes we don't wear. I am proud of the final result.

A mi bebé le encanto, quedo súper contenta con su nuevo vestido.

My baby loved it, she was very happy with her new dress.
