Look what I made by combining fabric scraps [ESP - ENG]

Hello Hivers❤️

English

This time I share with you how I made some shirts with fabric scraps. I had two types of fabrics left over after having made the casual dress and a skirt for my sister (the ribbed and the elastic) I must say that it is a beauty to combine unicolor fabric and fabric with floral print, I think it was a good combination of textures and colors. What do you think?

I had previously made a dress and I had a part left over that I didn't want to waste in any nonsense, I didn't intend to combine these fabrics but only one was not enough, between the two I managed to make a shirt.

For this shirt model is easier when you make a pattern on paper, the pattern is a basic one, what I did was to draw a line at the height of the bust and for that I measured from my shoulder to the bust and I put it in my pattern, that's where I marked the division of the shirt.

Then I placed my pattern on the folded fabric and cut the top piece (flowered) and the bottom piece (unicolor) following the division of the pattern for the front. It is important to leave seam allowances mainly when dividing the patterns.

In the back of the shirt I could not fold the fabric to cut the pieces because what I had left of fabric was not in the width where I stretched more but in the length where I stretched less, so I simply placed the mold on the open fabric and cut my two pieces of the upper part (flowered) and the lower part (unicolor) so that joining everything would be a single piece that would be the whole back of the shirt. Without forgetting the centimeters of seam, so I managed to cut well, now I had to see how well I joined the pieces.

¡Por fin mi insignia! (1).png

Honestly, the seams were very neat, I was very happy with the result, although the back of the shirt was the total union of four pieces, it was excellent, very nice. I liked it very much, even my sister-in-law, whose mother is a seamstress, fell in love with the shirt and told her to make a model like this.

One of the things she liked the most was the neckline, I don't like exaggerated necklines, I try to wear shirts with high necklines because I think they make me look more beautiful and tender, in fact they are very elegant. What do you think?

I also had a fabric in a stronger tone but this was enough for the two pieces (front and back) so I made another shirt and in summary I can say that the seamstresses make good use of the scraps of fabric hahaha.
