Satin Rose🌹

Hello everyone!!!
Hope you all are having a beautiful day, this is my first time posting here and I want to share how I made a satin rose as an accessory for a dress. I hope you find it interesting.

This are the equipments I used for the project: a fabric scissors, a piece of green coloured satin, a candle gum, candle, matches for the candle, a soft Woden and a hard one, some bead stones, etc.
I started by cutting the satin to the length and shape that I want (rectangular).

I took it to the machine to make a loose running stitch ( this step can still be carried out with a needle and thread).

I dragged the free thread suspended at the end and continually arranged it to make a ruffle.

This is what I got at the end!

I proceeded to use my needle and thread to arrange the ruffle to get a rose shape.

I proceeded to cut a soft Woden in a small circle then lit up the candle to melt the candle gum, I mashed the melted gum on one side of the circle then put some bead stones on it.

I melted the candle gum again then put it on the other side of the circle (without the beads) the put it on the centre of the rose.

I cut the hard Woden in a larger circle, mashed the candle gum on one side then placed it under the rose to cover the rough ends, I the put a little gum on top of the Woden to place a lapel pin, then covered it with a little piece woden to make it neat.

This is how the final project looks like.
