Greetings, in my country Venezuela is the season of school graduations, thus beginning the August holidays and we are hopeful that the next school year in September will resume face-to-face classes, Because this whole school year was from home due to Covid-19, something that affects us all, but the education and emotional well-being of children is being greatly affected by the absence of classes. My son just graduated from kindergarten and my niece graduated from elementary school, so I wanted to give them a gift to remember this stage of their lives, I decided to make them a knitted pencil cover in the shape of a boy and a girl with caps and gowns, a diploma and a medal of graduation, here I share the step by step so that all those who know how to crochet can do them following my instructions, it is a simple tutorial where only low difficulty stitches are made.
Materiales / Materials
Hilo acrílico de color azul, beige, negro, rojo, amarillo y blanco
Fibra sintética o cualquier otra material para rellenar.
Aguja de ojal grande
Aguja e hilo para coser de blanco y negro.
Ganchillo # 4 (1,25mm)
Tijeras

Total stitches: 2414 Round: Taking only the back side knit 2 single crochets, 1 decrease, repeat. Total stitches: 1815 Round: Knit 1 single crochet, 1 decrease, repeat. Total stitches: 1216 Round: Fill with fiber. Knit 6 decreases and hide the yarn inside the fabric.

For the tassel, with blue thread go around one finger, pass the thread six times through the center and knot, make an additional knot in the threads a little apart from the first knot. Make a braid and go through the center of the cap and secure with a child. Cut the ends of the strands so that the tassel is neat.
Fill with fiber and sew the cap to the head
Medalla / Medal
With yellow yarn work single crochets in a ring.With red yarn make 1 slip stitch and knit 18 chains, knit 1 slip stitch in the starting stitch.Cut and sew the strands on the back of the medal with a thread and needle seam.
Diploma
With white yarn weave 8 chains and weave 6 rounds of single crochets on top. Cut and hide the strands inside the fabric. Roll up the diploma and tie it with a red or yellow thread to the right hand.
Rostro / Face
For the ears, with beige thread from each side of the face 5 rounds from the neck, knit 1 single crochet, 3 double crochets together, 1 slip stitch. Cut and hide the strand inside the fabric.With the large buttonhole needle and beige thread, embroider the nose. Embroider the eyes, eyebrows and mouth with thread and sewing needle.Optional you can sew two plastic beads to the girl for the earrings.
