Saludos, como alguno de mis lectores saben estoy en tratamiento para Covid y no he tenido mucho tiempo ni energía para dedicarme a mis labores cotidianas con el tejido, el arte o las publicaciones (ni ayudar a mi mamá con sus post eso me hace sentir peor), esta enfermedad es muy extraña y una de las cosas que he podido notar es el decaimiento general que siento en términos de motivación, por eso el día de hoy estaba muy nostálgica, pensando en los últimos años y como muchas personas nos enfocamos a veces en los cambios físicos o de los logros sustanciales de los años, por ejemplo si bajaron o subieron de peso, si se graduaron de la universidad, entre otras, sin embargo a veces nos olvidamos un poco del progreso que tenemos en nuestras actividades creativas nuestras habilidades manuales, nunca se deja de mejorar pero a veces las personas se sienten un poco estancadas (como yo)y revisar esos trabajaos pasados ayudan a dar un impulso necesario para seguir adelante, dando cuenta de cuánto se ha mejorado a veces sin que lo notemos.
Así que hoy por primera vez en Hive me atrevo a crear una iniciativa, para compartir el progreso que he tenido en mis habilidades manuales, en este caso escogí solamente el tejido, pero la invitación es para cualquier persona que se dedica a la costura, el tejido, el bordado, el macramé, el alambrismo o cualquier otra actividad que se necesidad habilidades manuales y de creatividad para compartir su progreso, estas puede ser comparaciones de años pero también pueden ser de solo meses si la persona aun se considera novata en la labor que realiza. No existe reglas determinadas, sin embargo sugiero algunas para poder estructurar sus publicaciones si así lo desean.
Greetings, as some of my readers know I am in treatment for Covid and I have not had much time or energy to dedicate myself to my daily work with knitting, art or publications (or helping my mother with her posts that makes me feel worse ), this disease is very strange and one of the things that I have been able to notice is the general decline that I feel in terms of motivation, that is why today I was very nostalgic, thinking about the last years and how many people focus sometimes in physical changes or substantial achievements over the years, for example if they lost or gained weight, if they graduated from university, among others, however sometimes we forget a little about the progress we have in our creative activities our abilities manuals, it never stops improving but sometimes people feel a bit stuck (like me) and reviewing those past works helps to give a necessary impetus to move forward, realizing how Much has been improved at times without our noticing it.
So today for the first time in Hive I dare to create an initiative, to share the progress I have made in my manual skills, in this case I chose only the fabric, but the invitation is for anyone who is dedicated to sewing, the weaving, embroidery, macramé, wire rope or any other activity that requires manual and creativity skills to share their progress, these can be comparisons of years but they can also be only months if the person is still considered a novice in the work performing. There are no specific rules, however I suggest some to be able to structure your publications if you wish.
Reglas / Rules
1 Hacer una publicación con al menos 4 comparaciones de antes y después de algunos de sus trabajos (pueden ser menos si así lo desean)
2 Describir cual ha sido el logro o el cambio mas importante que se puede apreciar en las fotos de antes y después y contarnos un poco el proceso personal de adquirir o mejorar esa habilidad, logros técnicos o de conocimiento.
3 Exprésate ¿Cómo te dientes con la comparación? ¿Motivado, insatisfecho? ¿Qué tanto crees que puedes mejorar en el doble de tiempo desde que empezaste? Comparte tu opinión desde lo personal sin caer en comparaciones con nadie, solo tú eres dueño de ritmo.

Amigurumis con muchas patas / Amigurumis with many legs
Uno de mis primeros amigurumis tenía más dos patas, fue un pequeño pulpo morado de apenas unos pocos centímetros, yo hacía mucho tiempo que tejía en dos agujas pero nunca me había a atrevido a experimentar con el crochet hasta que por internet vi una amigurumi y me quedé enamorada, se trataba de un pulpo así que con un hilp tipo estambre bastante delgado y una aguja de 1.25 mm realicé este pequeño amigurumi, esta foto es de enero de 2010 pero sé que el amigurumi lo hice mucho antes de esa fecha sin ningún conocimiento previo, solo vi un video de cómo hacer un esfera, recuerdo que lo más difícil fue coser las 8 patitas por la parte de abajo del pulpo, sentí que ya no tenía espacio. Lo más grato del recuerdo es que ese pulpo fue el primer amigurumi que vendí.
Nunca me imaginé que progresaría tanto como para hacer un amigurumi que no solo tiene 8 patas sino que hasta zapatos y tiene en cada una de ellas, cuando decidí hacer a Miss Spider el personaje de la película Jin y el durazno gigante en 2020, no tenía idea el reto que me estaba poniendo con la estructura de alambre por dentro, lograr el equilibrio entre las patas fue lo más difícil, pero si doy un paso atrás me siento muy feliz de ver como incluso a prendí a trabajar con colores diferentes al mismo tiempo.

Amigurumis con pocas costuras / Amigurumis with few seams
Uno de mis primeros intentos de hacer amigurumi fueron figuras de animales antropomorfos, es decir que tuvieran características humanas como andar en dos patas, accesorios, es decir era como hacer peluches, sin embargo mis primeros intentos fueron muy básicos, para este perro de 2010 use una aguja # 0 que era la única más grande que pude conseguir y un estambre bastante grueso que apenas viene en presentaciones de 100gr lo cual implicaba tener que usar varios, no recuerdo las dimensiones del amigurumi pero sé que era de 15 cm aproximadamente. Todas las partes fueron tejidas y ensambladas por medio de costura como es el método tradicional y sencillo.
Este año realicé por encargo una vaquita para una niña, las imágenes referenciales que me enviaron no me gustaron mucho así que quise hacerle algunos accesorios, cono por ejemplo un overol y una mariposa bordada. El gran cambio que puedo notar en mis habilidades es que al principio no sabía que un amigurumi no necesariamente podría hacerse por parte separadas, en esta vaca las piernas están hechas de manera seguida con el cuerpo, es decir, se tejen cada una hasta la entrepierna y a partir de allí se continua el cuerpo uniendo las mismas piernas, esto parece algo muy básico, pero cuando yo empecé hace más de diez años con los amigurumis no sabía que eso se podía hacer y que el resultado sería tan prolijo.

The big change that I can notice in my skills is that at first I did not know that an amigurumi could not necessarily be made separately, in this cow the legs are made in a row with the body, that is, each one is woven up to the crotch and from there the body continues joining the same legs, this seems something very basic, but when I started more than ten years ago with amigurumis I did not know that this could be done and that the result would be so neat.

Una de las primera figuras que hice intentando hacer una figura humana fue inspirada en la caricatura Ruby Gloom, esta muñeca aun la conservo y es muy grande, creo que esta cerca de los 30 cm, si bien el resultado ahora no me parce de lo mejor, además que sus ojos de plástico se pusieron amarillos por los años, fue el primer amigurumi de gran tamaño que hice, sus piernas en dos colores fue lo que más me gustó porque era primera vez que hacia cambio de color, en aquel tiempo me sentía orgullosa, ahora lo veo y si me da un poco de vergüenza mostrarlo.
Este año 2021 hice una figura de mi misma, no puedo creer que ahora sé cómo hacer manos con dedos, hacer estructuras de alambre para que puedan moverse y hacer prendas de ropa aparte para vestir el amugurumi, los zapatos aparte, las faldas, en sin creo que en figura humana es lo que más he mejorado la proporción y técnica.

De tejido en dos agujas a tejido en miniatura / From two-needle knitting to miniature knitting
Aprendí tejido en dos agujas cuando era niña, pero debido a que vivo en una zona muy caliente de mi país es casi imposible usar alguna prenda tejida , asimismo los materiales nunca se encontraban disponibles, por años solo me limité a hacer gorros o cosas muy básicas, sobre todo cuando un niño nacía en la familia, en el 2012 por ejemplo le hice este suéter tejido en dos agujas para la hija de una prima, fue uno de los primeros abrigos que realicé que se teje casi en una sola pieza, es decir solo se cosen los laterales de las mangas, lo hice en un solo color , con estambre grueso y agujas de 6mm, le cosí un pequeño adorno que vendían listo para coser. Tejer prendas era muy gratificante aunque era difícil que me hicieran un encargo.
El gran avance que te tenido ahora es poder aplicar mis conocimientos del tejido en dos agujas para elaborar prendas para los amugurumis en miniatura, este suéter por ejemplo lo hice con agujas de 2mm e hilo de 1mm, es decir, entra de lo que podría decirse un tejido miniatura, nunca en mi vida me imaginé que podría tejer a esa escala y hasta hacer mis propios gráficos de jacquard para escribir o hacer cualquier figura en ese tamaño. Es pequeño suerte mide algunos 5cm aproximadamente de largo y me siento tan orgullosa cada vez que veo el tamaño de las puntadas en el mismo.

It's little luck, it's about 5cm long and I feel so proud every time I see the size of the stitches in it.
