Recuerdan que les mostré cómo aumenté el tamaño de Timoteo. Esto fue mediante el escalímetro. Ahora veremos otra manera, para mí la más complicada porque para esto se debe tener conocimientos previos. Se trata de “rediseñar el patrón”.

Si bien obtengo un amigurumi muy similar, no tengo el control de la medida, es decir, si bien utilizo doble hebra y un crochet de medida ligeramente más grande, no se obtiene el doble del tamaño. Según una diseñadora #Knitoysandcraft, “si aumentamos el hilo y el crochet, el tamaño varía entre 30 al 38% del tamaño original”. Por ejemplo si la medida original es de 16cm, entonces quedaría de 22cm, y si seguimos aumentando el hilo y el crochet quedaría de 30cm de altura.
Although I get a very similar amigurumi, I don't have control of the size, that is, although I use double yarn and a slightly larger crochet, I don't get double the size. According to a #Knitoysandcraft designer, "if we increase the yarn and crochet, the size varies between 30 to 38% of the original size". Quizá muchas de ustedes hicieron esto alguna vez o quizá sea algo nuevo. Con en esta técnica se obtiene la medida deseada, similar a cuando utilizamos el escalímetro. Este último, recomiendo utilizarlo más para animalitos, porque lo que se quiere es específicamente aumentar el tamaño “tal cual”. Si se trata de personas, lo mejor sería diseñarlo nuevamente. Y con esto me refiero específicamente desde dibujar el tamaño deseado (papel o digital), esto para asegurarnos las proporciones que deseamos (figura humana), ya luego podemos jugar con el tamaño de estas. Para esto, el amigurumi pequeño es una guía útil, sobre todo para la distribución de los colores mientras se teje.

Un punto aparte, es esto de la articulación. El personaje que estoy tejiendo es una maratonista, por eso la versión de 20cm debe ser articulada en ambas extremidades. Para las piernas, el tronco y el cuello utilicé alambre galvanizado de 2mm y para los brazos uno de 1mm.
A separate point is this articulation thing. The character I'm knitting is a marathon runner, so the 20cm version has to be articulated in both extremities. For the legs, trunk and neck I used 2mm galvanized wire and for the arms I used 1mm.
