Los días que sale sol me motiva bastante, sobre todo porque donde habito es un lugar frío en inverno y caluroso en verano. A pesar de todo, mis estaciones favoritas son las de otoño invierno.
The days when the sun comes out motivate me a lot, especially because where I live is a cold place in winter and hot in summer. Nevertheless, my favourite seasons are autumn and winter.
Por otro lado, esto del tejido es un aprendizaje constante y me emociona cada vez que aprendo nuevos puntos o nuevas maneras de tejer. En esta ocasión tejí un amigurumi el cual es patrón de pago de la diseñadora #Laraña. Como algunas sabrán, hace algunos meses tejí a Louis Tomlinson. Para esto, luego de conocer a Louis, en búsquedas relacionadas salía Harry Styles, quien también fue parte de la agrupación juvenil “One Direction”. Los diseños de Laranha son inspirados en los Funkos, por ello los amigurumis lleva una enorme cabeza y con ello unos ojos grandes. Felizmente los colores de este personaje no son tan rebuscados, más bien sufrí un poco con el tamaño particular de los ojos.
On the other hand, knitting is a constant learning process and I get excited every time I learn new stitches or new ways of knitting. This time I knitted an amigurumi which is a paid pattern by the designer #Laraña. As some of you may know, a few months ago I knitted Louis Tomlinson. For this, after I met Louis, in related searches Harry Styles came up, who was also part of the boy band "One Direction". Laranha's designs are inspired by the Funkos, so the amigurumis have a huge head and big eyes. Fortunately the colours of this character aren't so far fetched, I suffered a bit with the particular size of the eyes.
Regresando al personaje, si bien en un inicio tenía planeado tejerlo, esta versión me pareció tan curiosa que dije “debo tejer ese patrón”. Además, la diseñadora es una compatriota y es gratificante adquirir un producto directamente de quien lo creó. Siento como si estuviera recibiendo un libro autografiado.
Going back to the character, although I had originally planned to knit it, this version seemed so curious that I said "I must knit that pattern". Besides, the designer is a compatriot and it's gratifying to acquire a product directly from the person who created it. I feel like I'm getting an autographed book.
No sé si les pasa… cuando tejo otros patrones trato de ponerle mi estilo, por lo general son los colores y otros detallitos. En este caso, la expresión de los ojos son un poco diferentes al original (y eso que son los mismos ojos de seguridad, jaja). Creo que mi estilo es como más infantil, me agrada tejer esa etapa infantil y expresarlo en los amigurumis.
I don't know if it happens to you... when I knit other patterns I try to put my own style to them, usually it's the colours and other little details. In this case, the expression of the eyes are a bit different from the original (and they are the same safety eyes, haha). I think my style is more childish, I like to knit that childish stage and express it in the amigurumis.
Me olvidaba, este patrón tiene algunas técnicas novedosas para su elaboración. Fue tejido con hilo de 4 hebras y mide 16cm de altura.
I forgot, this pattern has some novel techniques to make it. It was knitted with 4 strand yarn and measures 16cm in height.
