Hola mi gente de hive, hoy les voy hablar de mis nuevos proyectos de costuras, la verdad es que me gusta hacer de todo un poco y en mi afán de mantenerme activa y así olvidarme un poco de lo sofocante que se ha puesto la vida, trato de equilibrar mi tiempo en diversas tareas.

Hello people of Hive, today I am going to talk about my new sewing projects, the truth is I like to do a little bit of everything, and in my eagerness to stay active I forget a little of how suffocating life has become, I try to balance my time with various tasks.

En un momento pensé que este mundo de la confección y costura, no era algo que llamara mi atención, de hecho por mucho tiempo mi madre tuvo una máquina singer de esa que muchos conocen como la negrita de hierro y la verdad nunca despertó en mí ninguna curiosidad.

At one time I thought that this world of sewing and dressmaking, it was not something that called my attention, in fact for a long time, my mother had a singer
machine that many know as the "black iron" and the truth it it never aroused in me any curiosity.

Sin embargo, en una oportunidad me animé por medio de una amiga hacer un curso básico de costura, asistíamos a clase todos los sábados, a medida que aprendía me fue gustado este arte, del cual me fui enamorando poco a poco. Para ese entonces no tenía máquina de coser, razón por la cual mi madre me obsequió esta máquina que había sido de mi abuela y en la que muchas veces trabajó horas interminables para ayudar a criar a sus hijos.

However, at one point I was encouraged by a friend to take a basic sewing course, we attended class every Saturday, since the first lesson I started to like it, and I fell in love with little by little. At that time I didn't have a sewing machine, which is why my mother gave me this one I had, that actually belonged to my grandmother, who often worked endless hours to help raise her children.

Posteriormente, realicé un segundo curso en una escuela cercana a casa y allí conocí a la Profesora Milagros quien desde el primer momento que la conocí, me atrapó con su calidez humana, es de esa pocas personas que les gusta enseñar sin mezquindad sus conocimientos, al mismo tiempo que desplegaba su paciencia, su cariño y pasión por sus habilidades, este curso era totalmente gratuito y duraba todo el año escolar, solo que asistíamos 3 veces por semanas y dedicabamos 3 horas por día.

Later, I took a second course in a school near my home, and there I met Professor Milagros, who from the first moment I met her, she caught me with her human warmth, she is one of those few people who like to teach and share without stinginess her knowledge, while deploying her patience, her affection and passion for her skills, this course was totally free and lasted the whole school year, but we only attended 3 times a week and we spent 3 hours per day.

Allí conocí algunas chicas que al igual que la profesora, hicimos un lazo de amistad y compañerismo, nunca hubo una competencia entre nosotras, más bien nos apoyábamos unas con otras, el grupo era pequeño.

There I met some girls who as the teacher, we made a bond of friendship and companionship, there was never a competition between us, rather we supported each other, the group was very small.

Para ese entonces logré hacer otras piezas por primera vez, lo que aumentaba más mi interés por seguir aprendiendo.

By that time, I managed to make other pieces for the first time, which increased my interest to continue learning.

Por último hice un tercer curso, con la misma profesora pero con otras participantes, al inicio el grupo era mucho más grande, pero a mediado de año muchas dejaron de asistir, algunas por el factor económico, otras porque no tenían sus máquinas propias y algunas simplemente porque no se sintieron identificadas con el oficio o les pareció muy complicado.

Finally I did a third course, with the same teacher but with other participants, at the beginning the group was much larger, but in the middle of the year many stopped attending, some because of the economy, others because they didn't have their own machines, and some simply because they did not feel identified with the craft or they found it too complicated.

Lo cierto es que para mí esto ha sido una aventura, me permite expresar mi creatividad, soy de las que con un mismo patrón hago diferentes piezas totalmente diferentes, me gusta combinar colores y asumir nuevos retos.

The truth is that for me, this has been an adventure, it allows me to express my creativity, I am one of those who can make totally different pieces with the same pattern, I like to combine colors and take new challenges.

Durante el último curso había hecho la inversión de estas dos máquinas que por cuestión de mudanza a otro país, una prima de mi esposo las puso en venta, aunque estaban usadas, ambas estaban en buenas condiciones, por aquí se las muestro.

During the last course, I had made the investment of these two machines, I bought them thanks to my husban's cousin who put them on sale, beacuse he was about to moving to another country, although they were used, both were in good condition. Here I show them to you.

Gracias a ellas hemos elaborado de todo un poco, tanto mi hija de 16 años como yo, estamos compenetradas con esta actividad que en momentos quizás llega a estresarnos, porque quizás las cosas no salen como uno las planifica, pero la mayoría de las veces sirve como distracción, nos envuelve en otro mundo y nos llena de mucha satisfacción cuando vemos el final de nuestro trabajo.

Thanks to them we have made a little bit of everything, both my 16 year old daughter and I, we are involved with this activity that perhaps at times comes to stress us, because some things don't go as we planned, but most of the time it serves us as a distraction, it involves us in another world and fills us with great satisfaction when we see the end of our work.

Por ahora les cuento parte de mi inicio en esta área, pero si Dios lo permite estaremos mostrándoles con más frecuencia parte de nuestro trabajo. Somos principiantes pero tenemos muchas ganas de seguir aprendiendo, en un escrito anterior les mencionaba que se había unido a mi equipo de trabajo mi hermana mayor, ella al igual que yo pensaba que no tenía madera para esto, pero mientras más aprende más le apasiona.

So far I tell you part of my beginning in this area, but if God allows it we will be showing you more frequently part of our work. We are beginners but we are eager to continue learning, in a previous writing I mentioned that my older sister had joined my work team, she also thought she hadn't wood for this ar first, but the more she learns the more she is passionate about it.
