Muy buen Lunes a toda la comunidad de Hive, desde Buenos Aires, Argentina les escribe Daniela para mostrarles esta puntilla que realicé al crochet para agregar al final de una cortina de tela.
The client sent me that photo and told me that her kittens had broken the bottom edge of her curtain, so she wanted to cut the broken part and add a crochet lace to enhance her curtain again.
La clienta me envió esa foto y me comentó que sus gatitos le habían roto el borde inferior de su cortina, entonces quería cortar la parte rota y agregar una puntilla tejida al crochet para poner en valor nuevamente su cortina.
The first thing I did was draw the pattern and there I realized that I was going to have to knit backwards, from the side. It was my first curtain like that.
Lo primero que hice fue dibujado el patrón y ahi me di cuenta que iba a tener que tejer al revez, de costado. Fue mi primer cortina de esa forma.
It was a very good experience and since the height was short (it had to be 60 cm wide by 40 cm high) it was quite easy and quick to do.
Fue una muy buena experiencia y como la altura era corta (tenía que medir 60 cm de ancho por 40 cm de alto) fue bastante fácil y rápida de hacer.
What I did discover is that when weaving horizontally, the fabric is firmer, it does not deform, as sometimes happens with curtains when weaving in the same direction it falls .... It is always good to incorporate something new!
Lo que si descrubrí es que al tejer de forma horizontal, el tejido queda mas firme, no se deforma, como a veces sucede con las cortinas cuando se teje en el mismo sentido en que cae.... Siempre es bueno incorporar algo nuevo!
I hope they can apply it to modify any curtain they have or even to make a new sheer curtain for a window, for example.
