¡Hola a todos! por aquí estoy para la gran revelación. Como muchos adivinaron en sus comentarios mi proyecto se trata de un traje de mariquita para el cumpleaños de María Teresa. No fue sencillo este trabajo, así que decidí llamarlo el milagro, porque fue realmente un milagro que lo terminara.
Esta fue una larga y dura semana para mí, primero me pusieron la tercera dosis del anticuerpo monoclonal que necesito para mi enfermedad, eso me altera un poco por los efectos secundario. Luego la niña tenía consulta con la pediatra, tuve mucho miedo ya que todos los vecinos tienen #Covid-19 así que fue muy estresante para mi salir así. Y para poner la cereza del pastel el fin de semana pasó la Tormenta Elsa, por lo que pasamos varios días sin luz y sin wi-fi.
Hello everyone! I'm here for the big reveal. As many of you guessed in your comments my project is about a ladybug costume for Maria Teresa's birthday. It was not easy this job, so I decided to call it the miracle, because it was really a miracle that I finished it.
This was a long and hard week for me, first they put me on the third dose of the monoclonal antibody that I need for my disease, that upset me a little bit because of the side effects. Then the girl had a consultation with the pediatrician, I was very scared since all the neighbors have #Covid-19 so it was very stressful for me to go out like that. And to put the icing on the cake the weekend Storm Elsa came through, so we spent several days without power and wi-fi.
Con todo esto creí que era lo mejor no presentar nada. Pero no podía decepcionar a tanta gente, incluida mi pequeña. Así que puse mi música favorita y comencé a trabajar y este fue el resultado.
🐞Primero corté mi vestido, separé la falda de la blusa. Aproveché el dobladillo que tenía mi vestido.
🐞Plisé las faldas, una era el forro, luego el tul que daría el armazón y sobre estas dos capaz venía la tela de lunares que representa la mariquita. Me di cuenta que era un error porque si cosía la al forro las otras dos capas, al momento de estirar el hilo no iba a ceder.
With all this I thought it was best not to submit anything. But I couldn't disappoint so many people, including my little girl. So I put on my favorite music and started to work and this was the result.
🐞First I cut my dress, separated the skirt from the blouse. I took advantage of the hem that my dress had.
🐞I pleated the skirts, one was the lining, then the tulle that would give the framework and on top of these two layers came the polka dot fabric that represents the ladybug. I realized it was a mistake because if I sewed the other two layers to the lining, when I stretched the thread it would not give way.
Primer error// First mistake
🐞Afortunadamente me di cuenta a tiempo y lo desarmé, comencé de cero una vez más. Esta vez plisé el tul y cosí un pequeño dobladillo que se ocurrió con el tul que me sobró. Cuando lo terminé me di cuenta que debí haber cosido entre el forro de tul y el voladito la tela de mariquita. Así que debí deshacer todo de nuevo.
🐞Fortunately I realized it in time and took it apart, I started from scratch once again. This time I pleated the tulle and sewed a little hem that came up with the leftover tulle. When I finished it I realized that I should have sewn between the tulle lining and the ruffle the ladybug fabric. So I had to undo it all over again.
Segundo error // Second mistake
🐞Tenía la mente nublada y no sabía cómo armar la falda del vestido. Ya era viernes y aún estaba donde empecé con los materiales y nada armado. Pero se me ocurrió que podía unir la tela de lunares y el tul, hacer un plisado y luego pasar un elástico. Esto funcionó, por fin pude terminar la falda.
🐞My mind was foggy and I didn't know how to put together the skirt of the dress. It was already Friday and I was still where I started with the materials and nothing put together. But it occurred to me that I could join the polka dot fabric and the tulle, make a pleat and then pass an elastic. This worked, I was finally able to finish the skirt.

🐞Resuelta la falda del vestido, ahora me dediqué a armar la blusa. Esta fue más sencilla porque ya tenía los moldes que hice de otra blusa de la niña. La hice toda de color negro y le agregué un bolado de tela de lunares para que le diera un toque mucho más elegante.
🐞With the skirt of the dress resolved, I now turned my attention to putting the blouse together. This one was easier because I already had the molds I made from another blouse of the little girl. I made it all in black and added a polka dot fabric bolado to give it a much more elegant touch.
🐞Primero cosí todos los bordes con un dobladillo.
🐞Pasé un elástico color negro para que hiciera de cuello.
🐞Luego plisé el bolado de lunares.
🐞First I sewed all the edges with a hem.
🐞I put a black elastic to act as a collar.
🐞Then I pleated the polka dots bolado.
🐞Una vez terminado, lo uní al elástico estirando bien para que quedara con más vuelo.
🐞Once finished, I attached it to the elastic, stretching it well so that it would be with more flight.
🐞Después hice las pequeñas antenas. Ella no se deja nada en el pelo, todo se lo quita. Así que las antenas eran con ganchos de alambre para prensar. Por lo menos para la foto sirvieron.
Hice dos pequeños cilindros de color negro, les di la vuelta y rellené con algodón y alambre para dar forma. Luego cosí unas rueditas de cinta que eran de unos ganchos de pelo y quedaron listas las antenas.
🐞Then I made the little antennae. She doesn't leave anything in her hair, she takes everything out. So the antennae were with wire hooks to press. At least they were good for the photo.
I made two small black cylinders, turned them over and stuffed them with cotton and wire to give shape. Then I sewed on some ribbon wheels that were from hairpins and the antennae were ready.
Quería hacer un pequeño bolso de mariquita ya que a mi pequeña le encanta ponerse todo como una cartera y hasta hoy no he tendió la oportunidad de hacerle una cartera para juegue. Pero no me quedó tiempo así que lo dejo pendiente para un post futuro.
Terminada la blusa la uní a la falda y quedo terminado el vestido. Un traje de mariquita que casi me saca canas verdes. ¡Jajajaja!🤣 Tendré pesadillas con mariquitas el resto de semana🐞.
I wanted to make a little ladybug purse since my little girl loves to wear everything as a purse and until today I haven't had the opportunity to make her a purse to play with. But I didn't have time so I leave it pending for a future post.
Once the blouse was finished I attached it to the skirt and the dress was finished. A ladybug costume that almost gave me green gray hair. hahahaha!🤣 I will have nightmares about ladybugs for the rest of the week🐞.
