Again I find beautiful flowering plants while cycling my bicycle.

This time I am in the area of the Poda Protected Area and find a fresh meadow covered with large yellow flowers.

The plant in my homeland is known as Yellow Rabbit Grape, and its Latin name is Asphodeline lutea.

Its fruits are spherical and really resemble grapes.

It is suitable for coughs, helps with snake bites and wounds applied as a poultice.

"It is the flower of the dead, as Homer writes that it carpets an area in the gloomy darkness of the underworld (Hades), in Greek mythology where the souls of the dead are found."
