Dates - a super food for longevity

I soon came across an article about dates and was surprised by the qualities of this amazing fruit. These are date palm fruits and grow in many tropical areas. I have been a vegetarian for several months and I have included dates in my diet because they are extremely rich in nutrients. They also help me a lot for training because they give a lot of energy.

These are fruits of very high nutritional value, especially in the dried state. In terms of caloric value, they are equivalent to other dried fruits such as figs and raisins. Most calories in dates are due to carbohydrates, and they also contain very little protein. These fruits are also a source of some important vitamins and minerals, as well as a significant amount of fiber.

A portion of 100 g of dates contains:

Calories 277;

Carbohydrates 75 g;

Fiber 7 g;

Protein 2 g;

Potassium 20% of the recommended daily dose;

Magnesium 14% of the recommended daily dose;

Honey 18% of the recommended daily dose;

Manganese 15% of the recommended daily dose;

Iron 5% of the recommended daily dose;

Vitamin B6 12% of the recommended daily dose.

They are extremely rich in fiber and one of the richest fruits in antioxidants. Everyone who cares about their health should eat these sweet dates. Several studies have shown that they can improve brain function.

This is the main food on the menu of the Tubu tribe, who live in the extreme conditions of the Sahara desert, they apparently they do not age and do not get sick. Maybe that's their secret.
