Jogging for Sunsets

Yesterday I went out for a jog. I jog almost every week now. Sometimes with friends, most times, alone. It clears the mind from overwhelm and grounds it to the surroundings, noticing the flowers and trees and birds in the air, noticing the tricycles passing by, different kinds of people selling their merchandise, fruit vendors, children playing in the streets, fishermen with their catch, and several working class people smiling as they go home from work.

I guess it just feels right to reach the bridge and look at the ripples and waves of the sea. I jogged from Tagbilaran to Dauis and caught this wonderful view just minutes before sunset.

I have always loved sunsets. Sunsets remind me that no matter how long the day maybe, the day still has an end. Nothing lasts forever, not even pain. The sun must come down and along with it all the pain that was experienced and all the negative emotions that was felt, drifted away like the waves of the sea 🌊.

Let this sunset be a reminder that walang forever (there is no forever) is real, and it doesn't have to be sad. While there is no forever, let's stop taking our relationships for granted, and continue to love while we still can.

The Lord is good. The Universe is good.
