Squirrel interrupting a phone call

294.JPG

As we stopped at home Marian was on the phone, but squirry decided to listen in 🤣

I will do a double post (10 photos) today to also show you what squirry looks like after having babies!
No, we haven't seen the babies yet, but they will soon be here and I will be ready with the camera.
But for now, enjoy the post!

As we stopped at home the phone rang and as Marian opened the car's door somebody jumped in!

Dang! Marian had no nuts and she had to juggle both the phone and squirry to open the front door to get some nuts!

Two happy ladies, as squirry got her nuts and as you saw in the first photo, Marian could continue with her phone call!

Now let me show you what squirry looks like after giving birth!

You can get an idea of her sucklings as here you can see that her teats are raw!

The old squirry was full of life, but this new squirry just lies down all over the place. She is a very tired girl!

Gently Marian gave her nuts and she must have had many babies!
155.JPG

But oh no, not so easy, as Marian turned thinking that squirry had had enough, squirry jumped on her back!

Finally, a very tender moment here as squirry laid on Marian's bosom, slowly eating a nut!

Yes, this is a true friendship and not once have we ever attempted to keep squirry in a cage for ourselves, as she is a wild animal and she belongs in the wild.
At times she comes into the house, as she knows where the nut bowl is and she helps herself. Of course always keeping an eye out for Troy, our little dog, but lately he doesn't even bark at her anymore.
So, it seems that we have a perfect setup here and that everybody is happy!

And That's All Friends!

Btw! Do you know what this baby bird is?

I will show you some baby birds tomorrow!

Note: All photos are my own and taken with a Canon Powershot SX60HS camera!

Something here below to think about!
