Some Orchids In The Garden

Hello Hivers in the #amazingnature community, have a nice day.
Orchids are one of my favorite flowers. I feel very fortunate that we have so many different species of orchids in tropical countries like ours. There are many reasons why I love this flower.

Orchids stay fresh long after they bloom. Unlike most other flowers, the orchid retains its beauty from about a few weeks to a few months depending on the species before it fades. So once they bloom, they add to the beauty of nature for a long time.

Another feature I really like about orchids is their strong survivability. They can grow on the ground, on trees or even on rocks. Their survivability is amazing. I don't know what "orchid" means in English, but in Vietnamese, "orchid" means "phong lan". "Phong lan" means the flower in the wind, indicating the intense vitality of this flower. Occasionally there are broken orchid branches in my garden because of the wind or some other reasons. After a while, new roots grow from the broken branch and it becomes a new orchid. It's awsome!
