This grey heron is a quite common bird in our region. I always like to watch them when they are hunting in the water. If you're lucky you might just see them catch a fish, frog or even a rat (I've seen that before).
Another fun fact about these birds is that although you can always find them in or around the water, they make their nests high up in the trees.
