Another version of peanut candy

First of all, I want to thank you @elizabethbit for the question of contest 50 and Sis @hknauy for inviting me to join the contest. Even though it was finished, I still want to share my answer to this question.

What is a recipe that you've brought with you from your childhood that you make today, and what is the childhood memory that comes with it? How does it make you feel?

Thanks to this question, I just realized that some childhood food that I haven't eaten for a long time. And some of that can not find anywhere else now. Time really flies so fast and there are things that can not be like before.

Peanut candy used to be very famous with the kids in Vietnam in the 20s. At that moment, my cousins and I were always waiting for the bell from the seller. He rode a bicycle and rang the bell which looks like in the photo, that was like a holy signal with the kids like me. We would run out of the house and just be afraid that he did not see us. Not only this candy but also other desserts like silky tofu pudding with ginger syrups, jelly in many objects, ice cream was sold by this way. So if we heard a bell, we would know that would be a dessert was being sold out there. Because I ate too much candy, my grandma was always worried that I got no teeth before the new teeth came. She always took care of me from the smallest things. That was really a long time already, although I can not go back but I still cherish what I had and have now.

Today, I gonna make the peanut candy in a soft and chewy version. Because the original version is hard, I will make it a little different from the original, it will be easy to eat. And the ingredient is so simple, just totally from sugar, 1 tbs of lemonade. And you just need to boil the sugar with water by the ratio 3 sugars:1 water and please put 1 tbs of lemonade while cooking the sugar.
We will cook until it turned to light yellow, you can check by dropping one drop of sugar into the water. If you can touch and drag it, it is done. You can let it cool down and pour it on the baking sheet. Also can apply a thin layer of cooking oil on the baking sheet then pour a thick layer of corn starch and let the cool down sugar on. Then I would repeat the action of drag and fold the sugar mixture until it turn to white color.

For the filling, it will be better if you use the whole grain of peanut. However, I ran out of it, I will replace it with peanut butter and roll it inside. For serving, I will cut it into pieces that would be easy to use.
