Quiero contestar la primera pregunta de la edición Nº 48 del querido concurso de nuestra comunidad Lady of Hive con una reciente anécdota.
Mi amiga @g2ml me invitó a la fiesta de 15 años de su primogénita y justo dos días antes me dispuse a seleccionar de mi guardarropa la vestimenta a utilizar. Tuve que desempolvar mis vestidos y zapatos ya que por razón de la pandemia, no había vuelto a usar un vestido de fiesta o calzado de tacones.
Me decidí por dos opciones de vestidos cortos y me dispuse a probármelos para escoger uno. Aunque eran tonos de colores combinables, el vestido gris iba bien con los zapatos negros pero al negro no le quedaban bien los zapatos grises.

I want to answer the first question of the 48th edition of the beloved contest of our Lady of Hive community with a recent anecdote.
My friend @g2lm invited me to her firstborn's 15th birthday party and just two days before I set out to select from my closet the outfit to wear.
I had to dust off my dresses and shoes since, due to the pandemic, I had never worn a party dress or heels again.
I decided on two choices of short dresses and set out to try them on to pick one. Although they were matching shades of colors, the gray dress went well with the black shoes but the black did not look good with the gray shoes.

Me puse a pensar en la locación de la fiesta y me imaginé que habría piedritas en el piso porque era al aire libre y éstas podrían dañar mis zapatos negros de tacones finos. Entonces, en mi fue ganando más la idea de usar el vestido gris con los zapatos grises de plataforma.
Cuando me probé los vestidos con sus respectivos calzados, anduve por la casa y les pregunte a mi mamá, a mi hermana @carmenmarv2 y a mi hija cuál de las dos opciones les parecía. Todas atinaron al vestido negro con los zapatos negros porque no les gustaban los zapatos grises. Ellas decían que me quedaban algo grandes y que caminaba mal con ellos.
A pesar de escucharlas, yo insistí en mi decisión de usar el atuendo gris.
Reasoning the choice
I started thinking about the location of the party and I imagined that there would be pebbles on the floor because it was outdoors and they could damage my black shoes with thin heels. So, the idea of wearing the gray dress with the gray platform shoes grew on me.
When I tried on the dresses with their respective shoes, I went around the house and asked my mom, my sister @carmenmarv2 and my daughter which of the two options they liked.
They all agreed on the black dress with black shoes because they didn't like gray shoes. They said they were a bit big on me and that I walked badly in them.
Despite listening to them, I insisted on my decision to wear the gray outfit.
Casi dejo la zapatilla
La fiesta fue muy agradable, estuvimos muy a gusto, mi hija y yo. La decoración estuvo fresca y de vivos colores. Volví a ver varios amigos que tenía mucho tiempo sin ver y compartimos un alegre momento con la cumpleañera y su familia.
Sin embargo, a la mitad de la fiesta, cuando me paré a saludar a mis allegados en las otras mesas, sentí que a un zapato se le había desprendido la suela. Tuve que regresar a mi lugar para revisar lo que había pasado.
Afortunadamente fue solo una parte de la suela. Probablemente haya sido por la falta de uso del zapato en el último año. Pués, me tuve que quedar sentada el resto de la noche para que la suela no se desprendiera completamente.
I almost left the slipper
The party was very nice, we were very comfortable, my daughter and me. The decoration was fresh and colorful. I saw again several friends that I had not seen for a long time and we shared a happy moment with the birthday girl and her family.
However, halfway through the party, when I stopped to greet my friends at the other tables, I felt that one of my shoes had come off the sole. I had to return to my place to check what had happened.
Fortunately it was only a part of the sole. It was probably due to the lack of use of the shoe in the last year. So, I had to sit there for the rest of the night to keep the sole from coming completely off.
Muchas veces por no aceptar consejos, nos metemos en problemas. Ahora que recuerdo lo sucedido, me causa mucha gracia. Yo insistí en mis zapatos grises de plataforma pero ya estos estaban para que los desechara. Espero se hayan divertido conmigo.
Many times by not taking advice, we get into trouble. Now that I remember what happened, it makes me laugh. I insisted on my gray platform shoes but they were already there for me to discard. I hope you had fun with me.
