I have often mistakenly thought that baby clothes should be cheaper than adult clothes, because less fabric is used, but making this miniature pony has changed my perspective on this idea.

Equivocadamente, muchas veces he pensado que la ropa para bebés debería ser más económica que la de adultos, pues se gasta menos tela, pero realizar este pony miniatura ha cambiado mi perspectiva sobre ésta idea.

Knitting very small pieces can be really complex, so should be sewing small pieces, or at least that has been my experience when knitting. To manage to mount 4 low stitches in a magic ring and go from there, was even painful for my fingers, and if you wonder why I wanted precisely that amount of stitches, the truth is that I wanted more pointed ears for my little horse, because until now I only made rounded ears, but not only that, I also had difficulty to knit the legs.

Tejer piezas muy pequeñas puede ser realmente complejo, lo mismo debe ser coser piezas pequeñas, o al menos esa ha sido mi experiencia al tejer. Lograr montar 4 puntos bajos en un anillo mágico y avanzar desde allí, fue hasta doloroso para mis dedos, y si se preguntan por qué deseaba precisamente esa cantidad de puntos, la verdad es que quería orejas más puntiagudas para mi caballito, pues hasta ahora solo hacía orejas redondeadas, pero no solo eso, también tuve dificultada para tejer las patas.

This little friend is no more than 10 centimeters long and I think that another factor that made the knitting difficult, besides the small size, is that the yarn is a little thicker than I normally use, but I wanted to work with that yarn because of its doormat effect. Added to this I chose a much smaller crochet hook because I wanted a tight stitch. All of these aspects meant that it was not a knitting I enjoyed very much, but it was worth it because it was love at first sight with the person who bought it, as we continue to fundraise the Church.

Este pequeño amiguito no mide más de 10 centímetros y creo que otro factor que dificultó el tejido, además de lo pequeño, es que la lana es un poco más gruesa de la que normalmente uso, pero quería trabajar con esa lana por su efecto felpudo. Sumado a esto escogí un ganchillo mucho más pequeño porque quería un punto apretado. Todos estos aspectos hicieron que no fuese un tejido que disfrutara mucho, pero valió la pena porque fue amor a primera vista con la persona que lo compró, pues seguimos recolectando fondos la Iglesia.

After the cons of knitting my little Pony friend, it is necessary to mention the good things, and one advantage is that this amigurumi has few pieces: the head, the body, the four legs, the snout and the two ears, eight pieces in total, and thank goodness, because if it had been more, maybe I would have put this project away for at least several months.

Después de los contras de tejer a mi pequeño amigo Pony, es necesario mencionar las cosas buenas, y una ventaja es que éste amigurumi cuenta con pocas piezas: la cabeza, el cuerpo, las cuatro patas, el hocico y las dos orejas, ocho piezas en total, y menos mal, porque de haber sido más, tal vez habría engavetado éste proyecto por al menos varios meses.

This time I wanted a small head, so I made a disk of 24 low stitches that are achieved in round 4, and then give height.

La cabeza se hace a partir de 6 puntos en un anillo mágico con aumentos progresivos en múltiplos de 6, éste proceso es repetitivo cuando deseamos realizar una circunferencia, lo que va a variar y es el tamaño y éste depende del número de vueltas que realizamos antes de empezar a dar altura. En esta ocasión deseaba una cabeza pequeña, por lo cual realicé un disco de 24 puntos bajos que se consiguen en la vuelta 4, para luego dar altura.

Cosí cada pieza en su lugar y con lana de diferentes colores hice las crines y la cola y éste fue el boom de mi pequeño caballito, justo en ese momento empecé a tomarle cariño pues antes de eso tenía sentimientos encontrados hacia él. Gracias a Dios por la magia de los colores y lo que produce en mi interior.

En cuanto a mi opinión sobre el costo de la ropa pequeña, con toda seguridad seré más cuidadosa y considera la próxima vez, pues mi perspectiva ha cambiado completamente, y no se trata de la cantidad de material, sino del grado de dificultad, y para mí, pequeño es más complejo.
