As you note, war will not make things better. But that doesn't mean we can just watch and wait until bad people go away. There will be savagery, oppression, and predation to contend with. It is a time to beat plowshares into swords, IMHO.
I have also proposed a mechanism that will oppose institutions, and that is independence. Folks that aren't dependent on Monsanto for their supper won't have to eat poisoned bugs if that's all Monsanto is selling. Decentralization deprecates centralization. It's not magic, or magnetism. It's just merit.
