SPACE ADAPTATION [ENG/ESP] ADAPTACIÓN DEL ESPACIO
Greetings dear friends that make up this great community that is in favor of life and nature; Today I want to share with you the progress of a project that I started a couple of weeks ago in which I will be adapting the conditions of the backyard of my house to be able to harvest some vegetables and fruits that we can consume in our daily life.
Saludos queridos amigos que integran esta grandiosa comunidad que esta a favor de la vida y la naturaleza; el día de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes el avance de un proyecto que dí inicio un par de semanas atrás en el que estaré adaptando las condiciones de el patio trasero de mi casa para poder cosechar algunas hortalizas y frutas que podamos consumir en nuestra cotidianidad.
I had previously cleaned the place, but I left all the plants and branches that I cut to use that organic matter as compost.
Ya anteriormente había realizado una limpieza en el lugar, pero dejé todas las plantas y ramas que corté para utilizar esa materia orgánica como abono.
Inside my house I have two refrigerators that are broken and for some time I decided to take them to the trash, but this week I got the great idea of using them for the project as pots to sow inside said refrigerators; I disassembled them completely and leave only the empty drawers, which is the only thing I will use.
Dentro de mí casa tengo dos neveras que están descompuestas y desde hace un tiempo decidí llevarlas a la basura, pero esta semana me llegó la genial idea de usarlas para el proyecto como masetas para sembrar dentro de dichas neveras; las desarme por completo y deje solo los cajones vacíos que es lo unico que usaré.
Then finish cutting into small pieces all the branches that were left by pruning the entire yard.
Luego terminé de cortar en pequeños trozos todas las ramas que quedaron por haber podado todo el patio.
I used some clay blocks as bases to support the fridge drawers on them.
Utilicé algunos bloques de arcilla como bases para apoyar sobre ellos los cajones de las neveras.
Lastly, I filled the drawers with many branches and compost that has been created naturally on the spot and then added nourished soil on top (I have to buy the soil in the nursery) and thus start with the cultivation; The good thing is that worms abounded in all that compost, that means that this land will have a lot of nutritious worm humus for future plants that will be born in those pots.
Por último llené los cajones con muchas ramas y composta que se ha creado naturalmente en el lugar para luego agregarle tierra nutrida encima (tengo que comprarla la tierra en el vivero) y así comenzar con el cultivo; lo bueno es que en toda esa composta abundaban las lombrices, eso quiere decir que esa tierra tendrá mucho humus de lombriz nutritivo para las futuras plantas que nazcan en esas masetas.
Soon I will be publishing the following advances that I will be making in the project, the next thing I will do is an irrigation system for the plants and I will also give firmness to the soil by creating a stone path so as not to damage the usable areas for harvesting; For today I will leave it until here, I hope this post is to your liking, good vibes 🖖🏼.
