The environment is everything that surrounds us. After the Covid pandemic it is learnt that human can not leave his environment uncontrolled accessed and cheated. The concept of environment encompasses the natural environment, flora and fauna, including man, in the totality of interactions, and cultural heritage as part of the environment created by man.

The environment is subject to constant changes that can be caused by natural causes such as: soil erosion, earthquakes, floods, fires and anthropogens: urbanization, industry, transport, population growth, waste accumulation and others.

Due to the ubiquitous interaction of man in the environment, most often without respect for the natural rhythm in nature, man changes the environment with a detrimental effect on biological and landscape diversity and often with negative consequences for human health and quality of life. This certainly no one of us would like to happen again and again.

By neglecting the environment in favor of economic growth and development, such irresponsible behavior has changed the environment in a relatively short period of time than any other biological species. The consequences of such action are unsustainable and call into question the future of that same environment. Therefore,

Environmental protection has never been more important than it is today, in a way that takes care of pollution protection in all environmental components, individually and within other environmental components, taking into account their interrelationships.

The environmental components are:

  • air,
  • water
  • sea,
  • ground,
  • landscape,
  • wildlife, earth's stone bark.

Negative impacts on human health from environmental pollution are most often associated with poor water quality, air pollution and problems related to waste management.

How to link the development and protection and preservation of the environment in all spheres of life and work on the foundations of sustainability is becoming the greatest challenge of modern man and society as a whole. The solution lies in the globally accepted notion of sustainable development. The definition of sustainable development is best contained in the sentence:

"Sustainable development is one that meets the needs of present generations, while at the same time, in harmony with nature, ensures that future generations meet their needs . "

For the lasting success of the sustainability process, the fundamental issue is the development of awareness of sustainable environmental development at the level of each individual, as well as society as a whole, of responsibility for the environment in which one lives and acts and shares with other living beings, other living beings, but primarily human beings. to ourselves and to future generations to come.
