Before I could even get to picking in the garden I had to get fencing up around the freshly spread grass seed. I managed to scrounge up some pipes that I used as my posts along with a piece of 1" rebar. By complete luck I had a roll of wire sitting that just happened to be the exact right length to wrap the area. With the fence up I was able to let the birds out and have a good feeling that they would not get in.
I needed 20 pounds of squash to finish my 340 lb order out and I got 21 pounds. The plants are still plugging right along but seemingly in 2nd gear. If I were to start picking every other day I would get much higher weight days but then I would have some huge squash.
With only 25 of the 60 lbs of beans picked for my orders I had to spend a good part of my day filling 3 and a half buckets with a ttal of 36 lbs of beans.
Once @stryeyz got home from work with dinner we ate, then I got everything setup for us to bag the beans into half pound and full pound bags. With the beans bagged an in the cooler there was 500 pounds of produce in the cooler.
I have grain to pickup this morning as well as drop off J at school and the co-op order in the valley. I have the truck ready to load up the boxes of produce here shortly.
Today is soak, drop off J, co-op, pickup grain, harvests, empty grain barrels, and clean up farm and ready it for rain this evening, then finish with a soak. Saturday we go to the Agorist market and I have to get my seeds bagged and tagged today as well.
