source

Collaboration is a necessity or a must. The development of increasingly massive technology requires us to be able to apply these advances in the world of education. So it is possible for us to apply a collaborative learning model. Indeed, collaborating or collaborating is something that is very closely related in life, every human being must collaborate in order to achieve something well and maximally.

In conventional learning activities, collaborative activities are usually carried out between students or teachers in the same school or in the same class. But as I said earlier, with the availability of internet communication networks due to technological advances, collaboration is very possible between schools, between regions, even beyond national borders. This is what is called collaboration in the modern era.

What is a collaborative learning model?

In short, this learning model has meaning as a model that is applied in the educational process that encourages students or students, or teachers to work together in solving a problem or task. In practice, each student is required to minimize individual differences and prioritize cooperation and tolerance.

This model will add insight for students and provide two momentum for education, namely.

  • Every student will realize that in life there will definitely be a collaborative or collaborative activity.
  • Students will realize that social interaction is very important, and realize meaningful learning.

Collaborative learning strategy.

There are several strategies that we can apply in the collaborative learning model, but on this occasion I want to explain 3 important strategies for the collaborative learning model.

  • Social constructivism theory.
Obviously, as the name suggests, namely social, This theory explains about the social interaction of each member with other members. This theory will increase the sense of tolerance and mutual respect between group members .

  • Cognitive Theory
In this theory, it relates to the exchange of concepts that are owned by each member. So that the different concepts will become new knowledge for each member.

  • Motivation theory.
The collaboration model can be a place for students to increase their courage, grow their confidence in expressing opinions, and the most important thing is to be able to present situations of mutual need between members.

From my brief explanation above, we can draw conclusions that the collaborative learning model can be an exciting learning model to provide insight, social interaction, and also self-confidence for students.

In other words, this model can improve the quality of student learning. Collaborative learning model also focuses on student activity in participation, while the teacher only takes on the role of a facilitator, mentor, and motivator.
