Children's Drawing: A Bridge for Learning
La madurez infantil pasa por diferentes etapas en el que las áreas (físico, motor, cognitivo y socio-emocional) se desarrollan de acuerdo al ritmo de cada pequeño. Lo mismo ocurre con el dibujo infantil, posee niveles en donde el niño tiene contacto con materiales didácticos que le estimulan a explorar, experimentar y expresar un significado o emoción. El dibujo infantil es una herramienta que facilita el ejercicio de muchas áreas del desarrollo del niño, por ello es necesario sacarle provecho para un aprendizaje integral.
I share a specific stage of my 4 year old daughter Amanda's child's drawing. Her interest has been strengthened by age, schooling and lately she has observed my drawings when I create children's stories in Hive. The child went through the doodle stage, that is, the first strokes of my little girl's childhood were through uncoordinated movements, little awareness, until later she had more control of the pencil or instrument to make strokes with shapes. I also stimulated the stage with chalk so that she could scratch the floor of the playground or the square. Drawing is an activity that generates fun and any drawing, even if it seems like abstract art, makes sense to the child, the representation is made up of concepts, which is important because it promotes language, imagination and emotional development.
Comparto una etapa específica del dibujo infantil de mi hija Amanda de 4 años. El interés se ha afianzado por la edad, la escolaridad y últimamente ha observado mis dibujos cuando creo relatos infantiles en Hive. La niña pasó la etapa garabato, es decir, los primeros trazos de la infancia de mi pequeña fue a través de movimientos sin coordinación, poca conciencia, hasta que posteriormente tuvo mayor control del lápiz o instrumento para hacer trazos con formas. Estimulé también la etapa con tizas para que rayara el piso del patio de la casa o el de la plaza. El dibujo es una actividad generadora de diversión y cualquier trazo aunque parezca arte abstracto, tiene sentido para el infante, la representación está constituida por conceptos, lo que es importante pues promueve el lenguaje, la imaginación y el desarrollo emocional.
Currently, Amanda is advancing to an infantile drawing according to her age, called Pre-schematic, in which she performs movements and more confident coordination to represent the world or the experience she lives. The shapes may be some irregular but she has similarity to geometric figures to draw objects, animals and people. They make the human figure and as the maturity process continues, fine motor skills (eye-hand) are strengthened and incorporate more details to the silhouettes of human figures because they are more aware and discriminate other aspects that become schemes and enrich the vocabulary.
Actualmente, Amanda avanza a un dibujo infantil acorde a su edad, llamada Pre-esquemática, en éste realiza movimientos y coordinación más segura para representar el mundo o la experiencia que vive. Las formas pueden ser algunas irregulares pero tiene semejanza a figuras geométricas para dibujar objetos, animales y personas. Realiza la figura humana y a medida que prosigue el proceso de madurez, la motricidad fina óculo manual (ojo-mano) se fortalece e incorpora más detalles a las siluetas de las figuras humanas porque está más consciente y discrimina otros aspectos que se convierten en esquemas y enriquece el vocabulario.
Amanda's drawings are located in different spaces on the page, since there is no literal understanding of reality and the child is the center of everything. Also at this stage, she uses different colors, but there is a favorite and a specific order because each child is different. I accompany this activity of drawing every time he/she wants to, besides it is my opportunity to understand the knowledge developed, the feeling involved, the recreation of an experience on the page and to enhance the language through the socialized exchange of the drawing made.
Los dibujos de Amanda se encuentran en distintos espacios de la página, ya que no existe una compresión literal de la realidad y el niño es centro del todo. También en esta etapa usa los distintos colores, pero existe un favorito y un orden especifico porque cada infante es diverso. Acompaño esta actividad de dibujar cada vez que lo desea, además es mi oportunidad de comprender el conocimiento desarrollado, el sentimiento que involucra, la recreación de una vivencia en la hoja y potenciar el lenguaje a través del intercambio socializado del dibujo realizado.
On the other hand, I intervene to avoid strong pencil pressure and thus the stroke is smooth so that there is no fatigue. Amanda colors the drawing in different directions, she is in the process of coloring respecting the contour of the shape; and lately she has started to represent the image she observes, she takes her time and captures it on the sheet.
Por otra parte, intervengo para evitar presión fuertes del lápiz y así el trazo sea suave para que no haya cansancio. Amanda colorea el dibujo en diferentes direcciones, está en el proceso de colorear respetando el contorno de la forma; y últimamente se ha iniciado en representar la imagen que observa, se toma su tiempo y lo plasma en la hoja.
Friends, Hivers, drawing is a strategy that advances according to the rhythm of each child. It is an artistic expression that allows him to perceive himself; it is a bridge to develop the language and it is also a therapeutic resource for the author of the work. The child's drawing exercises the solution of the problem, motivates the logic to elaborate a new original idea of being creative.
Amigos, hivers el dibujo es una estrategia que avanza según el ritmo de cada niño. Es una expresión artística que le permite percibirse; es un puente para desarrollar el lenguaje y también es un recurso terapéutico para el autor de la obra. El dibujo infantil ejercita la solución del problema, motiva la lógica para elaborar una nueva idea original siendo creativo.
The ability to draw is transformed into capacity and the knowledge built during each drawing experience is stored in an intellectual bank. I study the girl's interest and thus motivate Amanda through a unique training process to exploit the skill. Children's drawing is a bridge to understanding the child's behavior and fostering learning.
La habilidad para dibujar se transforman en capacidad y los conocimientos construidos durante cada experiencia de dibujar son almacenados en un banco intelectual. Estudio el interés de la niña y así motivar a Amanda a través de un proceso de formación exclusivo para explotar la habilidad. El dibujo infantil es un puente para comprender el comportamiento del niño y fomentar el aprendizaje.
