Visiting Indian Restaurant After Publish A Novel

When I write a novel based on India culture, I've done research by Internet cause in my hometown, there's no Indian Restaurant. I've been knowing about several type of Indian Cuisine by movie but never seen directly.

So when I've got my first job, I visited an Indian Restaurant named Le Mint Indian and Chinese Restaurant around Sunter, North Jakarta.

Vegetarian's Meat

Recently, the development of vegetarianism is growing rapidly. More and more new menus of processed vegetables that can arouse appetite. Le Mint Indian and Chinese Restaurant, for example, a restaurant that was founded in 2012 provides special vegetarian dishes.

The owner of Le Mint Indian and Chinese Restaurant, Sharan Sadarangani, said that his restaurant also provides menus that are no different from other restaurant menus. For example pizza, burgers, lomie, satay, and other menus that are usually made from meat. The difference is, the restaurant replaces vegetables with meat or often called vegetarian meat.

When eaten, vegetarian meat is no different from real meat. Starting from the taste to the texture, it deceives the consumer's tongue, as if they are eating meat even though what they are chewing is vegetables and mushrooms that are processed in such a way that they resemble meat.

Sharan's goal in establishing the restaurant is to encourage people to live a healthy lifestyle. He wants to change the views of people who always say that vegetables are not delicious. According to him, being a vegetarian is very good, the benefits can be felt directly by the body, besides vegetables are digested faster by the stomach. Being a vegetarian can also make the audience to be young.

Le Mint has three mainstay menus from three different countries. From Indonesia, this restaurant's mainstay menu is kampung fried rice, while from India the mainstay menu is nachoschat, and adalo mie which is a mainstay menu from the country of bamboo.

Chefs who make dishes are also presented directly from India, China, and local Indonesian people. That's because only they (chef) understand the original spices from India. That's why the food they cook is like the one in India.

Kind of Sweets in Le Mint
