I guess many of us have heard of Brick Pizza Oven. Oh well, this is the first time I have known about it. Honestly, pizza is not a popular dish for us, and when we want to eat it, we pack it from a western restaurant in town. When Nikki told me that she would make a pizza oven made of brick and heated using wood fireplaced inside, I doubt it as making a pizza by wood-fired in a brick oven seems to take much effort and patience😀. And nowadays, most restaurants and families tend to use modern ovens than using this traditional way.
We have a spacious yard and garden, so this is an excellent idea to party with friends and family on holiday or weekend, right?
The idea comes from Nikki, and we had many bricks left from the last time that we used them to make the border edging in the garden. Building an outdoor brick oven is not that difficult and expensive as I thought. It takes us a day to finish everything and buy woods ready for a pizza night. 🙂 I can't believe that everything has been done really fast than expected. We both very excited !!
After shopping for cheese, ham, flour, tuna, onion from the supermarket, we spent the whole morning kneading the pizza dough 🍕. I felt lazy to make it, but Nikki is really a hardworking person and wanted to try everything independently. 🤩 I'm so lucky !!
We know that many pizza ovens can also use gas or coal as fuel with the modern's design, but our classic brick oven can only use firewoods...haha, but we love it. It takes from 1 to 5 minutes to bake a pizza, depending on the thickness of the crust and how hot the oven is. While waiting for the pizza to be done, we really enjoy a beer and chat chit with friends. It's really cozy and close 😍 There is nothing better than enjoying a homemade crispy and fresh pizza and having a great conversation with friends in the garden. ❤️
These are the first pizzas cooked by wood-fired in a brick oven but very tasty and delicious, 😋😋 yum yum !! It's well worth the effort. For sure, we will make more in the future, and you are invited to have a pizza night with us in the garden. 😘
