Cha Siu ( Chinese BBQ Pork) with Egg Noodles 🇨🇳

🇨🇳 Today I would like to show you guys how to cook Char Siu
which is a type of roasted pork from Cantonese Cuisine. 🏮

It's absolutely delicious and this recipe is easy, quick, simple and does not complicated instructions.
 

🇨🇳 Char Siu can be pleased by itself or having with Rice, Noodle or Bun 😀

 

And there are many recipes with some main key ingredients to cook the Char Siu so let's see my recipe today which I'll having them with the egg noodles and it's cost around 0.74 USD per 1/2 kg here in Thailand.

Ingredient

  • 1 Tablespoon of Garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon of Shallot
  • 1 Tablespoon of Sesame
  • 1 Tablespoon of Ginger
  • 1/4 Cup of Honey
  • 1 Tablespoon of Seasoning Soy Sauce
  • 3 Tablespoon of Red Fermented Bean Curd (Red Food Coloring is Optional)

  • 400 Gram of Pork Loin (Pork Shoulder is the best option but now I'm on diet so let's lean together😆)
  • 3 False Pak Choi
  • 1 Spring Onion
  • 1/2 pack of Egg Noodles
  • 1 Tablespoon of Garlic
  • 2 tablespoon of Vegetable oil

Instruction

 

  • Pounding the sesame, shallot, ginger and garlic to the mortar.

  • Drop all the ingredients from the mortar to the plate and pour the seasoning soy sauce, honey and red fermented bean curd.

Then mix them together and I would like to show you guys a red fermented bean curd for red color and exotic flavor.

  • Transfer pork loin into the marinade plate.

  • Put the pork and all the marinade in the container. Keep in the fridge for overnight or at least 1 hour for the marinade .

Normally you can cook the Char Siu with an oven but today I'll roast it with Air Flyer.

 

  • Put the Aluminium Foil to the Air Flyer as a tray.

  • Time to roast the pork. Put the pork and marinade then roast at 175°C for 10 minutes and turn to another side for 10 minutes.

  • Remove from the Air Fryer.

It’s normal to have a little burn around the edge of the pork which you can trim it off when you serve them.😆

  • And reserved BBQ sauce.

  • Heat the pan and drop the garlic into hot oil. Fly until the garlic turns yellow and put aside.

  • Use the same pan and pour the water. Wait until boiled then put the False Pak Choi for 1 minute and put aside.

Time to prepare and cook the egg noodles.

 

  • Separate the noodle and rinse the noodle under the running water.
  • Drop the noodles into boiled water and stir them by chopstick for 1 minute then remove the noodles and rinse the water off.

  • Pour the oil onto the noodle to protect the noodle stick together and reserve the garlic for garnish later.
