Service quality and courtesy needs improvement

Aangan has been our choice of restaurant, since long. The reason being, their food quality is good and pretty tasty. Also I know the owner personally since couple of years, when we availed their facility for my son's thread ceremony. They have got around six restaurants apart from banquet halls ( booked for big functions) and this was the first time, we visited this facility - Aangan Premium, after our shopping about which I did a post sometimes back.

Interestingly, we got a surprise - my wife's friend joined us and the only vegan was my daughter. We started with some Chicken and veg starters, and also ordered mutton ( goat meat) in the main course along with rice / naan. The chicken lollypop as well as the chicken tikka was pretty tasty, and by the time we finished them, we felt like we cannot eat more. But then, we already had ordered for the main course - country style mutton ( like home made) along with rice. The taste of every item was good as expected from their name. But what I did not like is the assistance with the order and service. Usually, in their other restaurants, when we eat home style mutton, they can readily serve more if needed. But this was not the case here. When we asked for some more gravy , we were told, it's not possible. And they told that we have to wait for 20 minutes again if we order fresh. Usually we are habituated to eat rice with daal and then curry if there is not enough gravy. When I ordered, I asked specifically if the gravy would be enough and the boy said YES. Telling something and not agreeing it later is not a good courtesy.

Coming to the price, I felt it was over priced compared to their other branches. Not sure, why, but most likely because of the ambience or the busy location. The kids wanted some soft drinks after the food, but that was very highly priced - almost three times of what it should be. And then we usually finish the lunch with some sweets - but we did not get any nice sweets. So overall a bit disappointed - probably I will never go back here again.

She ate mutton may be after 7-8 months and was not looking at anything else. Even she was not very happy to look at the camera.
