Mangalore just had a recent addition to the available Shawarma corners in the city and I must say that this particular outlet truly lived up to the hype it received. And mind you! These are nothing like the usual ones. Aladdin Shawarmas is a new outlet that serves big fat shawarma rolls which are undoubtedly among the juiciest ones I have had here. I mean just look at the pictures I took of them. Forgive me if they get you drooling.
Classic Cheese Roll-
This one is my absolute favorite from the lot. It was completely stuffed with gracious amounts of meat and cheese. This could get anyone a foodgasm for real. Just cannot get over how great this one was.
This is priced at Rs.130 (1.77 USD)
Crisp Roll-
This shawarma roll was packed with crispy fried chicken, lettuce, mayonnaise, veggies. Every bite into this was crunchy, slightly spicy and flavorful.
It is priced at Rs.110 (1.5 USD)
Falafel Chicken Roll-
This roll was slightly bland compared to the others. It had falafel patties along with pieces of chicken, cheese, mayonnaise, veggies and more with a hint of garlic from their special in-house pastes. Pretty decent taste-wise but was really huge and filling for the price.
It is priced at Rs.140 (1.91 USD)
Aladdin Classic Spicy Roll-
This roll had ample amount of cheese. The amount of veggies in it was comparatively more though. It was much better than the average shawarmas outside and certainly great for the price.
This was priced at Rs.110 (1.5 USD).
As you might've already noticed, these are not the typical Arab shawarmas and have a twist with different additions made. Also, the wraps are different from the regular shawarma wrapping. These are covered with fermented sheets of bread made of white flour.
This one is named the "Heaven Drink" and is a thick sweetened mango pulpy drink. I absolutely loved this. A chilled bottle of it is enough to refresh you. This is priced at just Rs.50 (0.68 USD)
