I never had the idea that taro stolons can be so good to eat. You may never heard of this recipe. It's also not very common in different places of Bangladesh. But taro is always good for health, full of fiber and iron. So from now on, I'm trying to add taro on our regular meal more often.
Let's check out how I prepared it.
Here's a photo from the net to show you how the taro stolon looks like.
Let's see the cooking process.
Cut the taro stolon in small pieces, peal off the skin properly and wash them.
Put a good amount of onion and Green chili sizes with vegetable oil on the pan at some cumin and fry it for several minutes.
The masala/spice is ready. Now we are going to add taro stolons.
Add the taros and mix it with the masala. Add turmeric powder and salt as per your taste. Cook it for 2 to 3 minutes. When it become soft little bit, we are going to add the shrimps.
Mix the curry well and put a lid on. Add a small amount of water if needed and cook it for 15 minutes.
Flip it over after a few minutes and turn the heat off when the curry becomes tinder.
And it's done.
Isn't it easy?
The taste is super delicious. I also didn't know about this curry but once I tested it become one of my favourite. So if it's not familiar to you, give it a try and you will love this curry.
