Deep fried semolina cake | Flavor from Bangladeshi Cuisine.

Bangladeshi cuisine means a lot of deep-fried dishes, including various cakes. We call them 'Pitha'. Making pitha is usually a complicated process. But not this one. I'm a lazy chef, you know. So I found the easiest one.

Let me share the process.

Take half a cup of semolina, one full egg, half a cup of sugar, or as per your taste.

Use 50/50 water and normal temperature milk to make the cake batter.

I used some black cumin seeds for extra flavor. You can add cinnamon powder, vinegar extract ie. I believe that would also add something extra.

Add as much water/milk you need to make the butter smooth.

Now heat a pan, put vegetable oil, use a spoon to pour the cake batter on the oil.

Fry the cake for one in a minute on both sides under medium flame.

And it's ready to eat.

Pour some honey or maple syrup if you want.

So easy, right?

I wouldn't say, it's something very delicious. But it's worth trying. Also, the ingredients are all healthy. So better than junk food in the afternoon, you can try this.
