Trying A Meat Buns Recipe

It's another day to try a recipe for us. Here is what we tried today. It's called bakpao or meat bun or just bun since we did not use meat.

The ingredients:

  • Half a kilogram of wheat flour
  • 4 spoonfuls of sugar
  • 1 spoonful of yeast
  • 3 spoonfuls of butter
  • half spoon of cake emulsifier

First, we mixed the wheat flour, the yeast, and the sugar. We also add a little bit of water to make it smoother. Later we added the butter and the cake emulsifier.

When everything was mixed well, we put the dough away for 30 minutes to let it rise. When the thirty minutes was over, we took out the dough and we made little balls from it. We managed to get about 15 balls from the dough.

Inside the balls, we put in some chocolate pieces or mocha cream. So, we had two flavors: chocolate and mocha. We wrapped this chocolate and mocha inside the balls. Finally, we put the balls on a paper wrapping as you see in the photo.

We store the balls awas for about another 30 minutes to let them rise or to become bigger.

In the end, we steamed the balls or the buns for 15 minutes. When they were ready, we get an idea to try to sell them in the market. So, for this, we packaged the buns in plastic wrappings.
