  • 3 tomates pintones.
  • media cebolla blanca picada fina juliana.

Today we were shopping and we saw that the price of minced chicken has gone down, it is a grocery store whose name is just chicken, I like to buy chicken or meat just in those places that are known to sell many quantities per day, I like to buy chicken or meat just in those places that are known to sell many quantities per day, because that guarantees that they sell fresh products for its speed of replenishment on the shelves, of course, despite that, you should check that it is fresh, a characteristic of fresh chicken is its light pink color, and especially the smell, some even smell like a soap that has been washed when it is about to be damaged.

There I already had in mind to prepare a classic chicken stew with rice and salad, when I got home and after thanking God for the shopping, I put on my apron and to prepare....

Ingredients for 4 hungry people, hehe:

  • 3 pinto tomatoes.
  • half a white onion chopped fine julienne.
  • a large carrot chopped in half thin moons to make it faster.
  • 3 medium potatoes chopped in half moons also, although not as fine as the carrot, because it softens faster than the carrot when cooking.
  • 1 kilo of chicken chopped in large pieces.
  • 2 cups of cooked rice, I added a little bit of carmencita powder to give it a touch of yellow color.
  • Two spoons of mayonnaise, a spoonful of mustard and a spoonful of sugar for the salad dressing.
  • Salt, Curry, optional add a little bit of ajinomoto which we like a lot at home.

Preparation:

  • Cook the rice so that everything is ready to plate.
  • Clean the chicken of excess fat and place in a bowl to season with salt, enough curry and in my case ajinomoto.
  • Heat the frying pan with a little oil and when it is very hot, place the chicken, without moving it so that it seals and does not stick to the pan.
  • When the chicken is sealed underneath and bleeding on top, it is time to turn it over, add the chopped carrot, the chopped potato and cover the pan so that everything cooks in its own juices, approximately 25 minutes on medium heat.
  • Meanwhile, take advantage of this time to prepare a simple salad, in my case it was just onion, tomato and mustard dressing.
  • Check the chicken again, correct the salt and add a splash of Worcestershire sauce.

Ready friends, it's time to plate and eat this dish hot, bon appetit....
