Balado Anchovies Tofu, a Typical Minangkabau Dish

Some time ago I cooked anchovy Balado. Before I give you my recipe, I want to tell you a little about this food and a few things. Balado is a typical Minangkabau cooking technique. I know it as one of the provinces of Indonesia which is located in Sumatra. South Sumatra to be exact. The cooking technique is to grind the chilies with various spices. Usually onions, garlic, lime, and others are combined.

In fact, the use of the word balado is used after a noun. For example, Balado fish. Balado has been defined as fish plus chili. The use of the word balado before a noun is an abuse of language, as well as its true meaning. However, it is very common in Indonesia.

At first I said that I would cook anchovy tofu balado. I want to tell you about anchovies. This anchovy has a unique and distinctive shape. These small fish are scattered in oceans all over the world. Even in Indonesia, fishermen make it one of their catches. Anchovies live in groups in the ocean.

It's easy to find these fish in the ocean. Because, they often surface in seawater. Thus, it was easy for the fishermen to catch up with. Another thing, these anchovies have a pretty good sale price on the market. Not least consider this fish to be very edible. Anchovies are good for health. One is protein, potassium, vitamin a and so on. It's not one of many people who like balado anchovies.

Anchovies are included in fish that contain very good oil. Fish that have a very good oil content are salmon and tuna. I mean, that fish contains a lot of omega 3 fatty acids. These fatty acids help prevent inflammation. Inflammation is actually the body's response to infection. So when your body senses a threat from a foreign substance, the immune system resists and the result is inflammation.

In the long time, inflammation can increase the risk of chronic disease. To prevent inflammation, you can eat foods that contain anti-inflammatory substances. One of them is a small fish. That's the story about the anchovy. I will share some tofu recipes that I cook in my time.

Inggredient Used

1#. Anchovy, to taste.

2#. Hat, to taste.

3#. mushroom broth

4#. Oyster sauce

5#. salty soy sauce

6#. Chili sauce

7#. Spices are crushed. I bought this spice in the market

How to Cook

1#. Clean the material to be used. Anchovy and tofu. After that, the pieces of tofu will be used.

2#. Heat a frying pan and a little oil. Fry with tofu first. You can fry it a little dry.

3#. If it's enough, lift it out. Give the skillet a little more oil.

4#. Add the ground spices. Saute until fragrant. On a pleasant aroma, add tofu that has been thoroughly fried, stirred well.

5#. Put the cleaned anchovy. Usually, the anchovy is used first. It would be a viable option.

6#. Give me water. Soy sauce, mushroom broth, and tomato sauce. Stir well. Let sit for 10 to 15 minutes until the water begins to recede.

7#. After a bit dry, turn off the heat. Move the food to the prepared place. ready-to-eat food
