The besitos de coco are considered a dessert that is very often consumed as a snack, with soda, coffee with milk, coffee. It is a reason to get together and share this rich dessert.
This time, I bring a way to prepare it that when I made it the first time I was very pleased. It is Besito de Coco type cake. Instead of making it like a toasted bread, bake it like a cake. Its procedure is simple.
For the celebration of the day of the Virgin of the Valley, I was asked to make one...I agreed,
for this was used:
1 kilo of wheat flour
2 grated coconuts
1 1/4 of papelón
Baking soda.
Proceed to make the syrup of papelón, add anisitos, guavas, cinnamon.
.Grate the coconut, set aside.
When the syrup is cool, proceed to strain it so that the guava seeds do not remain in the preparation.
The coconut is joined with the papelón,
so that the coconut is impregnated with the papelón
.
.
The wheat flour is added to it.
Add the baking soda.
Ready the mixture, it is placed in a tray already prepared. There are special papers for this, in this case it was prepared with butter and wheat flour. It was taken to the oven (everyone knows his oven).
This amount of mixture took 30 minutes of baking.
.As it was a mixture in quantity,
it occurred to me with the remainder to place it in the mold of ponquesitos.
Here are the baked ponquesitos.
The cake is ready to cool.
All ready, it was cut into pieces to share at the small gathering in honor of the Virgin of the Valley.
