I am around here wanting to share with you a delicious recipe that I know we all love. It is a chicken potato pie, come with me to see the step by step and hopefully you will be encouraged to make it at home.
Hola mi querida familia de Hive, Dios les bendiga grandemente espero tengan un maravilloso día y que sus deseos se cumplan. Ando por aquí queriendo compartir con ustedes una rica receta que se que a todos nos encanta. Se trata de un pastel de pollo con papas, vengan conmigo a ver el paso a paso y ojalá se animen a hacerlo en casa.
Ingredients:
1kg chicken breast.
1 1/2 kg of potatoes.
2 tomatoes.
1 onion.
1 zucchini.
Chili and garlic (as you wish, for the breast stew) in my case I used 8 chilies and 2 small heads of garlic.
Mounts: a sprig of cilantro and a sprig of chives.
Ingredientes:
1kg de pechuga de pollo.
1 1/2 kg de papas.
2 tomates.
1 cebolla.
1 calabacín.
Ají y ajo ( cuento usted desee, para el guiso de la pechuga) en mi caso use 8 ajíes y 2 cabeza de ajo pequeñas.
Montes: una ramita de cilantro y una de cebollín.
We place two separate pots with water on the fire until boiling, in one we will put the potatoes and in the other the breast, to this last one we will add a teaspoon of dry oregano, half a cube, half a teaspoon of salt and 4 cloves of garlic.
Colocamos dos ollas por separados con agua al fuego hasta hervir, en una pondremos las papas y en la otra la pechuga, a esta última le vamos a añadir una cucharadita de orégano seco, medio cubito, media cucharadita de sal y 4 dientes de ajo pisados.
Once the breast is ready, remove it from the fire and discard it, and also chop in very small squares the seasonings already mentioned in the ingredients. To season, add dry oregano, onoto powder, crushed garlic, half a cube and a little bit of adobo.
Una vez que ya la pechuga está lista la retiramos del fuego y la desmechamos, y además picamos en cuadritos muy pequeños los aliños ya antes nombrados en los ingredientes. Y aparte para sazonar incorporamos orégano seco, onoto en polvo, ajo machacado, medio cubito y un poco de adobo.
We take a frying pan to the stove to heat, add a little oil when it is hot, add the garlic and the onoto, stir with a spoon or paddle and add the rest of the seasoning previously cut, let it fry for about three minutes and some zucchini already cut, mix and finally add a little of the broth where the breast was cooked, cover and let it cook for about three more minutes.
Llevamos una sartén a la estufa a calentar le agregamos un poco de aceite al estar caliente echamos el ajo y el onoto, movemos con una cucharilla o paleta e incorporamos el resto del aliño ya previamente cortado, dejamos que se sofríe por unos tres minutos y añadimos el calabacín ya cortado mezclamos, y por últimos agregamos un poco del caldo dónde se sancocho la pechuga, tapamos y dejamos cocer unos tres minutos más.
When the seasonings and zucchini are cooked, add the shredded chicken, stir to incorporate all the ingredients, leave for a few more minutes and remove from the heat.
Cuando ya se haya cocido los aliños y el calabacín añadimos el pollo desmechado movemos para que se incorpore todos dejamos unos minutos más y retiramos del fuego.
Separately, place the peeled potatoes in a bowl and mash them with the help of a fork. When all the potatoes are mashed, add half a cup of liquid milk and mix well until it looks like mashed potatoes.
Aparte las papas ya peladas las colocamos en un bol y trituramos con la ayuda de una tenedor, cuando ya esté toda triturada agregamos media taza de leche líquida y mezclamos bien hasta que quede como un puré de papas.
Once the shredded chicken and mashed potatoes are ready, we also add ham and grated cheese and proceed to assemble our chicken and potato pie.
Al tener listo el pollo desmechado y el puré de papas también agregamos jamón y queso rallado, procedemos a armar o montar nuestro pastel de pollo y papa.
In a square baking dish we place half of the mashed potatoes, cover with it the whole part of the container making a layer, then we add the cooked shredded chicken, we also add the ham on top of the chicken making a layer and add cheese, finally we finish placing the other part of the mashed potatoes, cover everything, add more cheese and take it to the oven previously heated for 30 minutes.
En un refractario cuadrado colocamos la mitad del puré de papas cubrimos con ella toda la parte del envase haciendo una capa, luego echamos el pollo desmechado guisado, incorporamos también el jamón encima del pollo haciendo una capa y agregamos queso, por último terminamos de colocar la otra parte del puré de papas cubrimos todo añadimos más queso y llevamos al horno previamente ya calentado por 30 minutos.
Finally remove from the oven and ready to serve for a delicious chicken pie.
Por último retiramos del horno y listo a servir para degustar un delicioso pastel de pollo.

We can accompany it with whatever we want or eat it alone, everything is a matter of taste, in my case we accompany it with white rice and fried plantain.
Podemos acompañarlo con lo que queramos o comerlo solo, todo es cuestión de gusto, en mi caso acompañamos con arroz blanco y plátano frito.
