Hi there foodies bee hive community, hope everyone is safe and doing well. Today I will be sharing a simple recipe of a "Puso ng Saging" (Banana Blossom). In the Philippines, there are lots of recipes we can make from banana blossom, and the most common one is "Ginataang puso ng saging" stewed with coconut milk. But for today we'll do the "Tortang Puso ng Saging" an omelette dish kind recipe.

Firstly we need to slice the banana blossom into smaller sizes. After that, we need to put a handful of salt on the sliced banana blossom not that much but just a proportion of it, mixed it well so as to absorb the salty flavor on it.

After mixing banana blossom with salt, we then need to wash it to remove the excess salty flavor and place it in a strainer and let it drain for a few minutes. On the other hand, we have to prepare the other ingredients and these are cloves of garlic and onions, both were sliced in small sizes as well. With the eggs of course get beaten together with the sliced onions and garlic.

After draining the excess water of the banana blossom, we can now mix it into the eggs. Lastly will add flour to have it slimier and won't disintegrate when frying.
