Eating at "Toshi" restaurant 👍👍

This is a signature cuisine restaurant with 11 main courses closed tasting menu at €68 price, drinks not included. Currently they have ⭐4.9 rating in Google Maps and my personal rating was ⭐5. Toshiya Kai, chef and owner of this restaurant, was awarded with 1 Repsol sun in 2021. They're also included in the Michelin guide, distinguishing them as high quality cuisine.

The place is small (they seat only nine people) and you eat on top of the counter next to the stove, where you can see how Toshi prepares everything for you at the moment and serves it to you as soon as he has it, while telling you stories about how he met his Spanish wife or his past as a chef in Japan.

It should be noted that, although Japanese by birth and educated there, he always felt a passion for Mediterranean cuisine, so his cuisine is the best product that he finds daily in the Valencian market, with meticulous and original preparations, and a little Japanese touch in some dish, but the Asian touch does not predominate at any time.

  • Chocolate sorbet with mandarin orange and extra virgin olive oil.

  • Infusion of tea and spices.

Overall evaluation of the restaurant: 8.5 points out of 10.
