[Esp-Eng]- Venezuelan Tripe Soup

Hola amigos un gusto saludarles, hoy quiero compartirles una receta de Sopa de Mondongo muy popular en Venezuela, especialmente la receta de mi mamá y su forma de preparar éste rico platillo que por lo general se realiza para reuniones familiares y en los días libre como un Domingo en familia o etcétera.

° Patas de Res
° Papa
° Yuca
° Topocho
° jojoto (elote)
° Ñame
° Ocumo
° Batata
° Cilantro (o culantro)
° sopa Maggi
° Agua

° Tripe or belly
° Beef Legs
° Dad
° Cassava
° Topocho
° jojoto (corn)
Yam
° Ocumo
Sweet potato
° Cilantro (or coriander)
° Maggi soup
° Water

Lo primero que haremos es lavar el Mondongo muy bien días antes, se pasa por limón, vinagre, algunas personas le colocan cal y muchas cosas para lavarlo ya que es muy sucio y hasta que quede blanco y limpio.

The first thing we will do is wash the Tripe very well days before, it is passed through lemon, vinegar, some people put lime on it and many things to wash it since it is very dirty and until it is white and clean.

Luego se pican las patas y se lavan, de van a montar en olla de presión para que esté más rápido y pone a hervir.

En una tabla se pican las verduras, la yuca, el Ocumo, el topocho, la batata, jojoto, el ñame, la papa y se lava y se coloca a hervir en una olla grande cuando ya casi esté la carne.

Luego se coloca la carne junto a las verduras y se le agrega un sobre maggi. En una olla aparte se agrega cilantro, ají, ajo, cebollín y cebolla y se sofríe con un poco de aceite y se agrega al agua de la verdura y la carne. Denle coloca un poco de sal al gusto y listo.
