A traditional Scottish breakfast at the Quaich Café in Crieff - Scotland.

Howdy Folks

While out on a drive to Loch Tay in the centre of Scotland yesterday I decided to stop in the town of Crieff for some food.

There is a lovely little place to eat here called The Quaich Bar which is a Cafe by day and a bar by night.

At the back of the room they have a nice display of old Whiskey boxes and books for the customers to read.

My dad found a book about Scottish waterfall's and we made a few notes about falls that look worth visiting in the future.

Crieff has an old historic Cinema, one of these days I will need to visit it.

And finally to the good stuff....food! A classic Scottish fry up consisting of 2 rashers of thick cut bacon,2 sausages , a slice of haggis, Scotland's national food , one egg , one tomato, a hash brown, baked beans and a slice of toast.

The cost was £8.95 which is a bit more expensive than other places but the quality of the ingredient's was top notch and the breakfast was a very enjoyable start to the day.

My dad opted for the healthier option and chose the baked potato with coronation chicken for £7.95

We washed our meal down with a pot of tea and the bill came to £20.50....we left a £2.50 tip for the waitress, she was very friendly ,funny and strikingly beautiful :).

How cool is our funky purple Scottish money? :D
