I tried the Tofu and Chicken soup ramen from TukTuk.

TukTuk is a blend of different Asian cuisines drifting everywhere from Japanese to Thai dishes. I had to get a haircut really quick and the only available barbershop was at the mall. While waiting for my barber to be free, I ventured into the mall's food court and debated if I wanted to go for the New York Pizza or Tuktuk.

Since the last time I dined from TukTuk, they have gotten a face lift. I still remember finishing my anatomy lessons after dissecting cadavers and then walking into the TukTuk right outside the anatomy building to grab a quick bite. Ah, so many memories.

The menu features a lot of mouthwatering dishes. Woks, salads, Poke, soups, sushi-pizzas, bao-burritos and the most ridiculous of them all - sushirito. It is basically a giant shushi in a kebab form. It used to be my go-to since it was just so convenient to eat a "sushi shawarma".

I have a bad tooth so I decided it would be wise to just take a soup. I really wanted the vegetarian Tofu soup but I cannot handle the spice. Yeah, I do not eat spicy food. So, I went for the non-spicy chicken soup with some extra tofu on top.

Due to COVID restrictions, everything is now served in takeaway containers. Jokes on us, it was always served in takeaway containers. LOL. But they did have a new ordering machine where you didn't have to interact with anyone to place your order. Introverts for the win.

I also ordered a sweet and chilli chicken wok, and a veg salad. I wish I could remember the names they gave these things.

Due to my bad tooth, I stuck with my soup. Let me tell you when it comes to Asian fast food TukTuk may still be at the top of its game. It sucks to see this amazing place shutting down so many branches over the years. I think the only two branches are in the mall and the other is another small shop they set up in the city center. They used to have over 6 or 7 branches back in the day.

The soup didn't only look appealing. The taste and flavor was incredible. The Meat broth was incredible. The chicken was so juicy and flavorful. Along with that was the Chinese cabbage and kamaboko which are rarely served in other shops. I could really taste the nori and marinated Takuan radish which usually becomes stale and distasteful if not plated at the right time.

Look at that half-boiled egg. I would have loved it even more if it were marinated with soy and vinegar to get that brown color and flavor into the white. But nevertheless it was runny. All this prepared in 3 minutes of ordering. Doesnt get better than this when it comes to "fast" food.
