Hello food lovers, how are you?

In today's post I will share one of my favorite recipes, the always delicious Spaghetti alla Bolognese, a classic of Italian cuisine that is known worldwide.

The ingredients I used in the bolognese recipe were enough to make 3 servings for 2 people, having eaten one on the day and frozen two servings for two people to eat at another time, and they were:

  • 680 grams of "passata di pomodoro", just the pulp of the cooked tomatoes without skin and seeds.
  • 200 grams of ground beef
  • 1 sausage
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Basil
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • 200 grams of Spaghetti

Step 1:
Cut the onion and garlic into very small pieces.
Remove the "skin" from the sausage, leaving only its filling in "hamburger" shape

Step 2:
Now let's seal the ground beef and the sausage to give it a special flavor.

Put 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan and let it heat up on high heat for 1 to 2 minutes.

Place the ground beef and sausage in the pan and leave it for 2 minutes on each side.

Remove from pan and set aside.

Step 3:
On low heat add another tablespoon of olive oil to the pan, add the onion and garlic and fry until the onion and garlic brown a little.

Add the sausage and the meat and start to crush to separate:

After a while it should look like this:

Step 4:

Put the passata di pomodoro in the pan, salt (according to your taste), pepper (according to your taste) and some basil leaves.

Add 200 milliliters of water to the mixture, making the sauce "watery".

Tip: After you put the passata di pomodoro in the pan you can put the water inside the passata bottle to "clean" the bottle and put it in the pan.

Now just cover the pan and let the sauce cook on low heat for about 30 minutes. At this point it is important to be patient, because cooking the sauce is very important and makes all the difference.

Stir the sauce every 10 minutes

Step 5:
While the sauce is cooking, boil the water to cook the spaghetti, after it starts boiling add salt and do not put oil.

Cook the spaghetti until it is al dente.

Step 6:
After cooking for about 30 minutes the sauce is ready.

As you can see the sauce even changed its color a bit and turned an orange tone

Adding a small amount of sauce to the already cooked and drained spaghetti will prevent the sauce from sticking.

Step 7:
Now with the sauce and spaghetti cooked take a plate (preferably a deep one) add the spaghetti and a good amount of sauce on top, add parmesan cheese (if you like it), pepper and basil.
