Warm Mung Bean Porridge For Cold Weather

Hi Foodies, today in my village the weather is very cloudy from morning to evening. It didn't rain but the sun didn't come out all day either. Around three o'clock in the afternoon when my sister and I were playing with the cat in the yard. I immediately thought, when the weather is cold like this it would be very nice to eat warm food. So I asked my mother to make mung bean porridge. Without thinking, my mother happily made us mung bean porridge on the condition that we had to find the ingredients ourselves. My sister was assigned to buy the ingredients and I was assigned to open the coconut from which the coconut milk would be extracted for the mung bean porridge.

How to make:

  1. The first step that must be done is to clean the green beans by looking for rotten beans and dirt mixed with beans. Then wash clean.

  2. If the green beans have been cleaned, then they can be directly boiled in water until soft or about 30 minutes.

  3. After the green beans are tender, then enter the pandan leaves that have been washed and tied, add the coconut milk, add the ginger for a slightly warm spicy taste and stir for a while until evenly distributed.

  4. To add flavor, add brown sugar that has been mashed. Actually, for sweetness, you can use granulated sugar. By adding brown sugar will produce a sweeter taste that is more delicious.
