Venezuelan Polenta | Polenta Venezolana
Venezuelan Polenta is a traditional dish that comes from the combination of a Spanish-influenced stew and a corn flour-based dough. A dish that my family prepares in December and to celebrate birthdays. It is a sweet combination of the mixture of flour and salty stew, has a spongy texture and golden color on the outside and inside a stew that paints color, has a cake aroma that scents the home to indicate that the tradition is ready to enjoy. Today it is a Creole dish little known by the Venezuelan youth; unlike other cultures such as Argentina that elaborate their polenta as a nutritional habit.

Serve the polenta with salad and a glass of wine. This dish has abundant calories, so it is advisable to make it on special days. It is a recipe that I love because in my family only three people prepare it, including me, I am not a lover of cooking, but it is an inheritance left by my grandmother and I like to make it because I visualize my grandmother and my mother smiling for the culinary legacy of Venezuelan Polenta.
