Benefits of Dietary Supplements!

Not sure if this is permitted in natural medicine community but since these are generally good for maintaining a healthy body in the long run, and are not allopathic medicines used to mask the symptoms of diseases, I'm sharing it here.

Human body has certain nutritional requirements per day. Our everyday diet doesn't consist of sufficient amounts of all the nutrients required by the body.

To cover up for that, we have the option of dietary supplements. These are the nutrients packed in a tablet form, to be consumed when we have our meals.

If the meal is not able to provide enough amount of a certain nutrient, the supplement covers up for it and gives you a healthy life.

Whey protein: Since I have started my journey into fitness this year, proteins are one of the essential nutrients needed by the body to build and recover the muscle tissues. Since my everyday diet does not contain sufficient amount of protein, this helps a lot. The company also mentions that they do not add preservatives. Not sure how they are able to preserve the proteins for upto 18 months though.

Ca-Mg-Zn: Calcium and Magnesium supports a strong bone and joint health. Magnesium is also shown to boost exercise performance. Zinc is known to improve immune system.

Omega-3: It is found that Omega-3 improves eye health, promotes brain health, reduces risk of heart diseases, improves bone and joint health. It is also known to be good for the skin health.

I've just started my journey into these health supplements and there's a lot to learn on this topic. Just shared a few things I recently learned about this. I'm sure these will go a long way in ensuring a healthy life.

If there's one thing I realized last year, it's that "Health is wealth."

Do share your views about this in the comments and also if there's any recommendations or suggestions, I'm open to it.
