Benefits of Ginger (Zingiber officinale), Turmeric (Curcuma longa)and Curcuma (Curcuma zanthorrhiza) Rhizome for Typhoid Therapy

Hello my hive friends, lovers of natural medicine, this is my first post about natural medicine, I come from Indonesia, a country rich in natural products and amazing spices. I like to learn about natural medicines. Many medical diseases can be used with natural medicines, even the experience of my friends who have suffered from severe medical illnesses, treated with natural medicines that are no less “effective” with medicine doctor.
On this occasion, I would like to share one of the natural medicine recipes, namely ginger, turmeric and curcuma therapy for typhoid sufferers. Starting from personal experience, three months ago, I was diagnosed by a doctor, suffering from typhoid, every day strands of hair fall out due to typhoid, my body becomes weak, my appetite has decreased until my body weight has decreased by 13 kg, the doctor advised me to be tested. I was treated at the hospital, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was so afraid to go to the hospital, I finally decided to make traditional ingredients from ingredients in my garden.

During the covid 19 pandemic. Ginger is one of the traditional medicines that is on the rise, this is because some people believe that consuming ginger rhizome boiled water can prevent the transmission of covid 19. according to the results of a study published by Journal of Pharmaceutical Research International 33 (29B):9-16,2021 : ginger is well known as a condiment and spices used for flavoring food and also its use as a therapeutic purpose from a thousand years ago. Ginger and its bioactive components include gingerols, shogaol, and paradols are active/valuable ingredients which use as a novel therapeutic strategy against various degenerative diseases. This review appreciated natural products drugs (ginger), have beneficial effects for cardio vascular disorders, diabetes mellitus, and gastrointestinal health, and have anti inflammatory and antibacterial effects.

Turmeric and curcuma rhizomes have long been used to increase appetite, treat flatulence and overcome digestive problems, have long been used for traditional medicine, the active substance curcumin found in turmeric and ginger is able to reduce inflammation, reduce gas pressure in the stomach so that it helps the stomach.To stop excess stomach acid production, curcumin, which is found in turmeric and ginger rhizomes, is also efficacious as a pain reliever (analgesic) this is in accordance with the results of a study published in

Ingredients :

  1. One piece of ginger
  2. One segment of turmeric
  3. One segment of temulawak
  4. 100 grams of palm sugar
  5. a pinch of salt
  6. one liter of water

The method :

  1. Clean the ginger, turmeric and ginger rhizome
  2. Cut the rhizome of ginger, turmeric and temulawak into smaller pieces
  3. mix the ginger rhizome, turmeric and ginger that have been cut into pieces
  4. add salt, palm sugar and water
  5. Boil until boiling
  6. Wait until the drink is warm
