Hola comunidad, hoy les cuento que mi familia son de campo y desde hace mucho tiempo he visto a mi familia sembrar, cosechar y cocinar de sus propios huertos. Por parte de mi padre que son del estado Mérida; siempre mi abuela se levantaba muy temprano para regar, podar y estar pendientes de sus cosechas. Eran pocas pero suficientes para cocinar de su propia siembra. Recuerdo que cuando íbamos de visita en vacaciones nos enseñaba sus cultivos de frutas, vegetales y plantas medicinales. Y a veces nos mandaba a buscar cualquier cosa a su siembra sea frutas para disfrutar en la tarde, algún vegetal para cocinar en el almuerzo o alguna planta para realizar un té para remedio natural más que todo gripe..

Por la parte de la familia de mi mama, era prácticamente igual, mi abuela por parte materna es del estado Sucre, e íbamos de vacaciones y era muy común ir al terreno detrás de la casa donde habían siembras de cacao, mango, naranjas y también plantas medicinales. Teníamos la costumbre mis primos, tíos, etc… de ir a la parte trasera de la casa y sentarnos debajo de las plantas, a disfrutar de los mangos, cacaos y naranjas que mi abuela había sembrado hace mucho tiempo y le daba alegría poder ver a sus nietos reunidos que estén disfrutando de esas ricas frutas sembradas con mucho esfuerzo hace un largo tiempo atrás..

Yo pienso que como crecí viajando a campos, viendo a mis abuelas sembrar y sacar su cosechas, incluso ayudarlas con mi hermano Anthony; también le tengo amor al medio ambiente y a la siembra, alimentado por mis familiares. Mi papa también tiene buena mano (**como dicen aquí en Venezuela**) a la hora de sembrar porque sus plantas salen hermosas y dan frutos maravillosos y muy ricos a pesar de no tener terreno ya que viven en un apto. Pero el siembra en la parte baja del edificio en un pequeño terreno donde tiene lechosas, parchitas (Maracuyá), mangos y muchas plantas más….

Yo como vivo en la Ciudad de Caracas, aquí tampoco tengo terreno para la siembra, pero empecé a agarrar los vacíos de gaseosa (refresco aquí en Venezuela) les abrí huecos por debajo, les colocaba tierra y sembraba semillas de ají, haciendo pruebas para ver si salía mi pequeña cosecha. Efectivamente se dio la cosecha saliendo 5 ajís (recuerden que no están sembrados en la tierra, si no en vacíos de gaseosa…) y así dar pie a seguir sembrando muchos más ya que son súper ricos y no llevan un enorme trabajo..

Les quería contar mi historia de siembra de ají, estaba tan emocionado que les tome unas fotos. Aparte que tengo otras plantas medicinales sembradas de la misma forma. Así que si vives en la ciudad y no tienes terreno puedes hacer lo mismo y tendrás tu pequeña cosecha. No será mucha pero es muy satisfactorio agarrar lo que cosechaste y colocarlo directo al satén y disfrutar lo fresco y natural..
I wanted to tell you my story of planting chili peppers, I was so excited that I took some pictures. I also have other medicinal plants planted in the same way. So if you live in the city and you don't have land you can do the same and you will have your little harvest. It won't be much but it is very satisfying to grab what you harvested and put it right into the satin and enjoy the fresh and natural.
